I lost a middle molar to a root fracture and had it done. It takes a year from the time you get the tooth pulled to the time you get the post put in, then you have to have your dentist put a crown on that, but it's worth it. I have watched my father struggle with a removable bridge for years. An implant is, for all practical purposes, just another tooth.
Good luck getting it covered under insurance ... especially once PelosiCare kicks in.
Are these like crowns?
The implant is a titanium “root”. Then a crown is placed over it.
It wasn't covered. I paid for it myself.
Which is the way it should be.
