Elena Kagan an avowed socialist? Is it really that shocking that Obama would nominate a fellow socialist to the highest court in the land?

Obama’s Supreme Court Justice Nominee Elena Kagan has already been under a lot of scrutiny since her booting military recruiters off of Harvard’s campus, but now Redstate has gotten a hold of her Thesis which will prove to be a doosy when her confirmation hearings begin.

Alright . . . it may be a couple of days before I get the time to read through all of this, but after taking in the first few pages I have to wonder (other than the prestige and networking opportunities) how an ivy league education can be so esteemed when it green lights high school level drivel like this.

You need to read Blackmun’s opinion in Roe. V. Wade if you have not already. I was astounded by its superficiality and logic chopping when I first read it. Hugo Black would have laughed at it.

The real problem with self-annointed intellectual snits like Kagan and the rest of crowd infesting the White House is not their allegience to socialism, communism, or progressiveism, although they certainly are dedicated to these failed political philosophies. The real problem with these people is their belief in their own infallibility.

Kagan is not only the smartest person in the room, but on the planet. She will feel no constraint to examine the law, precedence, the Constitution, or anything else beyond the boundary of her eyes. She, and she alone, has the capability to rule on the basis of her genius alone. She will wonder out loud why those other eight boobs are wasting their time on the Court.

I just want to point out that if one was a Socialist/Communist the the following thesis would be that the various communist groups shouldn’t put themselves under the control of the Russian Soviets but follow the Liberation Philosophy of the Sandinistas.

It's funny how Obama confuses teen-age angst with a real philosophical position. The simple fact of the matter is, if you're 18 to 21, you feel like an outsider, regardless of your race or where you happen to be. Stupid liberal.

True to a point, but I think there's more to it than that. Based on what little Michelle has actually accomplished since she graduated, I'd say that the rest of the Princeton student body was head and shoulders above her intellectually. In her thesis she blames racism for her feelings "not belonging." It wasn't racism. It was the simple fact that intellectually, she didn't belong. A white male with her SAT score would probably never have been admitted to Princeton. Moreover, a white male whose thesis was so full of spelling and grammatical errors would never have been given a diploma.
