Israel system uses electromagnetic pulses to see inside rooms

Israel has developed a counter-insurgency system that could see through walls. Israel's Camero has developed a system that could penetrate walls and identify enemy operatives. Camero has developed the Xavier 400 system, which uses electromagnetic pulses to allow operators to see everything within an adjacent room.

"This technology saves lives," Cameron vice president David Gazelle said.

Executives said Xavier, the size of a laptop computer, has already been deployed around the world. In November 2009, the three-kilogram system facilitated the rescue of a kidnapping victim in an unidentified foreign country.

Xavier was said to be based on a multi-channel ultra-wideband sensor. The sensor was said to operate at high bandwidth that enables reliable detection and object resolution.

Executives said the system was designed for military and security tactical operations. They said foreign police used a SWAT version of Xavier to detect four abductors and a hostage held in a room in a house. The system allowed police to observe who was watching the female hostage and rescue the girl when the abductors left to go to the bathroom.

Israel is remarkable in it’s technological advances, as predicted in days long past. I wonder continually what governments have up their sleeves that is not seen by the public. Each time new stuff is presented, I get wowwed again.

Probably good enough to link an aiming device to a wall-penetrating .50 sniper rifle. Using it merely to watch when the bad guys go to the bathroom seems just a tad simplistic to me.

So, is this a radio pulse, or an x-ray pulse?
