Tea Parties Vexing the Left’s “Theory of Everything”
Axis of Right ^ | 5/1/2010 | Ryan

While it’s kind of a slow news morning, it’s been nonetheless entertaining to see the Right try to paint the massive Gulf Coast oil spill as “Obama’s Katrina” lately. While fun, it’s probably is not going anywhere given the MSM’s penchant for Obama-worship and their uncanny ability to move on once things don’t comfortably fit into their narrative.

So, here’s something intellectual that I’d like to share from Matt Purple, writing for the American Spectator. Purple argues this point regarding the left’s crazy reaction to the Tea Parties:

And it isn’t just Democrats. It is also those like Frum and others. Conservatives should never just accept leftist perspectives as being correct. Even with the oil spill Americans understand that accidents happen. We also know that nature can recover. It recovered in Alaska. We don’t stop coal mining because of accidents, we don’t stop flying because of accidents and we don’t stop drilling for oil off the coast because of accidents. That is an excuse and a bad one because if screwing up were an excuse to quit the left should have given up in shame a long time ago.

The left hates the middleclass. They call the “American Dream” a myth and use the euphamism “middleclassism” for it.

I was wondering if the spill was due to sabotage from the Obama camp. He comes out in SOTU for drilling, which pleases the middle and conservatives. His base is upset, but will go ape$hit if he actually does it. So if he has an excuse not to follow through, it keeps him out of trouble with his base. I’ve seen no evidence that they had anything to do with it, nor am I familiar enough with the situation to know if it might be sabotage in disguise, but the timing certainly seems suspicious.

If he didn’t do it, he certainly delayed taking care of it appropriately.

But today the St Petersberg Times, our super liberal Tampa rag ran an editorial the Obama didn’t handle it timely. This is a hard pill for them to swallow, but they did print it. I’m amazed.

I don't think it's Obama worship any longer. He is screwing even the Dems in more ways than one. The left owns this stinker for two more years. They can't criticize him because they are all closet racists. LOL. They look like idiots. ROTFL!

Does anyone know who or what caused the explosion? Has anyone seen the list of the dead? Can anyone understand why Obama waited 10 days before sending our experts and military into emergency mode? That is the ONLY question the media would be focusing on now were Bush still in office! Thanks in advance, Bob

The left owns this stinker for two more years.

You're forgetting that some Dems are thinking right now about running against Obama for President. How is all this stuff going to play when Hillary bolts?

The Gulf Coast oil spill was an inside job. Obama knew about it in advance.

Pass it on.
