Rove is dead on target. When confronted by comments like Obama's she needs to progress from her usual snappy comeback comments to more in depth answers that show why she is more knowledgeable than Obama.
She doesn't have to be an expert, just demonstrate some depth of knowledge...and keep the snappy comebacks as well.

“Im not convinced she wants to be POTUS.”
This may be all Rove is saying. He doesn’t see her positioning and posturing for a campaign yet. Using the words ‘not ready’ though plays into the RAT press narrative.
We’ve a LONG way to go til 2012 - as if any of us need to be reminded of that.

2012? What are you smoking? John McCain isn't running for anything in 2012.
Do you know what the term in the Senate is?

“When Margaret Thatcher was 46 she was no Margaret Thatcher either. (In fact, shed just been appointed the Secretary for Education and Science in Heaths government.)”
And of course she was a disaster UNTIL she was appointed Secretary of Education, right?
LOL!
Margaret Thatcher stood out LONG before she was appointed Secretary of Education. Read her biography sometime and educate yourself. She didn't have the chronic missteps that Sarah has had when in the spotlight - before or after her first appointment.

I haven’t decided whether I will vote for Mrs. Palin in the primary, were she a choice. She would definitely get my vote if the choices were Palin, Zero, and anyone else.
BUT I have to say that Zero is the poster child for those who are not qualified to be president.

We’ll get Bolton as Sheriff of the World, one way or another.
This is what the left is really worried about.

Boy, if she could just sever her loyalties to Juan McAmnesty and throw her support behind JD Hayworth, she’d be WONDERWOMAN!!
To: MIlle
She should’ve done the interviews live. That way, you wouldn’t fall prey to media manipulation. You are right, though, in your observation that she’s no dummy.

“Id go on a two or three year quest to learn everything I could about foreign and domestic policy so that I would never repeat the performances I had with Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson (set-up jobs that they were, all the same).”
Honestly, I think she’s been doing that. Her later interviews up til today are much improved from those low point, RAT hack jobs (such as they were.)

She has been quite clear in her support for both McCain and Steel. That disqualified her for MANY true conservatives.

She’s learning, though. You’d better believe that all future interviews will be live, maybe from somewhere in Alaska where she can point to the land mass and identify it. “Look, that’s Russia over there! There’s 1.74miles at the shortest distance between us.”

You have a bizarre definition of "loser." He wasn't in charge of McCain's losing bid, he was in charge of Bush's two successful campaigns for the presidency.
He is the definitive winner when it comes to campaigning. It would be wise to listen to what he says when he is talking campaigns.

Palin was set up in those interviews with viperous interviewers and video editors. She gave numerous substantive responses that were cut to the editor’s trash bin, and even avoiding the gotcha what-do-you-read question is one of the more standard and useful ploys that pols use: not answering a question they don’t want to answer.
I think she still has to become more comfortable holding one-on-one, in-depth policy discussions in the press, but that’s one of the few finer points left for the strongest natural pol we’ve had since Clinton at least and, yes, maybe even Reagan.
To: Extremely Extreme Extremist
The only thing predictable about Sarah Palin: The revulsion she inspires by those in the know. The whole schtick is tiresome. For months, now, Palins demise has been foretold in ominous tones and what amounts to cluck-clucking church gossip.
Sarah Palin is still here.
And shes going to be around. And she can run in 2012 if she wants to. And she will get the nomination if she beats everyone else running. And that is entirely possible.
