The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will announce a new set of procedures for screening US-Bound air passengers which will use a more comprehensive profile of each passenger to determine who will receive enhanced searches and screenings. These new procedures will replace existing methods which use a more broad brush approach requiring enhanced screenings for all passengers from 14 mostly-Muslim nations. This is clearly a step in the right direction and most likely reflects an implicit admission by the Obama administration that current methods of ensuring secure air travel simply do not work.
According to the Wall Street Journal “The aim is to use nuggets of intelligence gathered by U.S. agencies to more effectively screen for potential terrorist threats.”

It just doesn’t seem imaginative or sticking by their creed-on the liberal’s part.

Most of us profile, racial or otherwise, and to deny it is even more offensive. Some five years ago, around the time I retired, I was jumped by five blacks from their late teens into their early twenties and they beat me about the head mercilessly. Last night, walking home from Maundy Thursday services, I heard footsteps behind me and more keenly aware of my surrounding, I looked around to see. From what I saw, I picked up pace to get to a busy, lighted corner as fast as I could. Anyone with a lick of common sense would have followed this pattern.
If the GOP gets back in, in 2012, a new set of internation agreements should set this rule; No visitors will be allowed in U.S. more than 30 days in a year and no visitors from any country that declines an agreement; no more than 30 days in 5 yrs.,,,, if at all.

Why are we assuming that “intelligence” will come up with the real threats, such as Muslim terrorists. They’ll come up with whatever their masters want—most likely Christian militias, pro-lifers, and similar targets.
