I hope you are right because the GOP House can DEFUND ObamaCare immediately. I think the raids in MI mean they will try to “win” in 2010.

I seriously doubt Obama wants the Republicans to win. He’s already running against Republicans and they do not have any real power. The GOP can stop him in his tracks and I’m sure he doesn’t want that. They stop the health care takeover, too, until 2012 and a GOP President.

It’s possible. But blaming your political opponents for your own failures is as old as politics. Plus it will only work if Obama doesn’t stand in the way by vetoing any legislature designed to help.

You are not the only ones thinking this

House Dems have been thinking this for a while

http://blogs.investors.com/capitalhill/index.php/home/35-politics/1393-white-house-hoping-for-gop-takeover

If he has an all Democrat Congress, and there are no signs of improvement, he loses.

I’m not sure about this. If he wanted the GOP to win, I don’t think he would have restored the taxpayer dollars to ACORN to go out an recruit “voters” for the commie ‘RATS.

No, Obama does not want to lose control of either House this November. Republicans do not need to be in control for Obama to demonize them. He is doing that right now. He blamed them for his 15 recess appointments. And he continues to blame Bush for the 2010 deficit as well as high unemployment.

If the GOP gains control of Congress, he will become virtually ineffective. His laziness has allowed Pelosi and Reid to write any legislation they wanted and he has signed it. With GOP control, he will be forced to submit his own bills, and that is something he has shown no willingness to do for over a year now.

If we elect a veto-proof Congress, then we can just repeal Obamacare and, in 2013, President Palin can eliminate the Departments of Energy, Education, and Agriculture. Then, she can eliminate all Social Security and Medi-Care benefits for baby-boomers born between 1946 and 1964, mainly because they’ve already lived self-centered privileged lives and deserve tough times for once in their miserable lives (only exceptions are soldiers and former soldiers, cops, firemen, and nurses).

I also believe that is why he set up the "benefits" of health care to start after the next presidential election

I agree with you that this was by design. For a 40+ something guy with little real political experience, he sure is shrewd. He is getting coaching from somebody or some body of people.

I believe that Obama wants the Republicans to win the House and/or the Senate in 2010.

I doubt that he wants the Republicans to win. I would suggest that he has been coached on how to handle the situation should they win. His political strategies for the next several months will probably be made with the assumption that the Republicans will at least control the house.

Consider how the economy roared after the 1994 Republican takeover of congress. This helped Clinton win a 2nd term. Same thing can happen for brack obama.

Sorry, I don't think the President is interested in any cutsie political triangulation strategy. He is a hard core ideologue and is driving as hard and fast as he can towards communism. If he sacrifices a hundred congresscritters to get the mechanisms of state control in place fine. Once he has the mechanisms in place he can activate everything else by executive order.

If they can take your social security money and spend it on other things what would make anybody believe they won’t do it with the health care money! It’s not about health care!

Barry would never want the Republicans to win

Sorry, I don’t thinks so.
It doesn’t matter if the Republicans win. He will have broken our Health Care System to improve it and it will still be broken. We have to depend on the courts to stop the momentum.

He is conducting a Razzle Dazzle full court press to keep us off balance. He threw in the free college education plan at the same time to spend another trillion dollars. I’m sure he will follow up with with Cap & Trade and the other two bills as fast as he can before the Supreme Court gets the Health Bill. He is not worried about the courts striking down the ability to make everyone buy insurance because, with the law passed, he will only have to raise taxes.

I am afraid he is spending so much that it may collapse our economy, and unfortunately, that would not bother him that much either. When he talks about playing on a level playing field, he really means playing on a flattened field. It’s easier to redistribute the material wealth when the monitary wealth is meaningless. Otherwise, he is just shaking the ladder of success to create some more openings and let more of his supporters get on the lower rungs.

Obama is to the rebuilding of Amarica as World War II was to the rebuilding of Europe.

The only counter moves we can do, other than speeding the court process is to press have him prove his natural citizenship and perhaps start recall petitions on all the legislatores, to give them some make work.

We should also press (although time does not permit) to require political parties to certify their candidates qualifications for office, under penalty losing tax deductions for donations. The Democrats may be challenged while Obama is in office by, “what have you got to lose if he’s ok”?

With health reform they kept saying to the Republicans, “why didn’t YOU do something about it then when you had the power?” The same can be said to them, they had full power for two years.

Who are you kidding?

obama is going to get blamed for everything in 2012. Bush got blamed for everything in 2008 and he didn’t control both houses of congress. The man at the top is the one that gets blamed.

I think you picked a good screen name. LOL

But, seriously, the only good (for Obama) that comes with a GOP takeover of Congress is that he’ll have someone to blame for his failures when he runs for re-election in 2012. If he’s the closet Stalin that I think he is, I think he’d rather push through his “reforms” by any means necessary rather than have them be postponed by a Republican Congress blocking his path.

He’s never shown any tolerance for working with the opposition.

Interesting theory .. but knowing how these people think .. losing is not in their vocabulary.

They only want power and having 60 votes and being able to run circles around the repubs (they think), is a dream come true.

While I really think Obama would prefer to have an even more solid dem house and senate, with the repubs in charge, he can veto everything they do .. and unless the repubs get enough seats in the House and Senate, they will not have the votes to overpower Obama’s veto.
