Duncan Hunter 2012 or Jim DeMint 2012... either works for me.

"DH: Well, I think that the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill is founded on the erroneous assumption that somehow an amnesty plan can precede any border enforcement and be meaningful. And it can’t. It’s akin to a state government debating whether the speed limit should be 55 miles per hour or 65 miles per hour; and all the while there is no highway patrol and everybody is doing 100 mph."

Amen, Mr. Hunter!

But you’ll notice nobody is suggesting that they put a virtual fence around the Whitehouse. They decided to keep a real one.

Excellent point and great line.

Watching the Tea Party on the mall Live.

Just saw a candidate for gov. of Tennessee threaten succession.

Indeed, it might take that.

Prayer wouldn’t hurt, everyone.

I would also support DH in another Presidential run.

OTOH, I would certainly also welcome him as Sarah's Sec of Defense as well.

Good interview.

There are security reasons for keeping our own industrial base and Duncan Hunter realizes that.

It doesn’t matter a hill of beans to me whether free market goods will be cheaper if we use cheap overseas labor and that entire argument.

What matters is what is ultimate. And what is ultimate is that when war comes we must be self-sufficient in every area of the economy. We must have food, shoes, tractors, tanks, planes, ships, energy....you name it. We need a security-level representation of every piece of industry in our own country.

There is no possible Republican candidate who can debate as well as Duncan Hunter can, because he’s more honest and loyal to the USA than any of the rest of them.

Pissant, thanks for keeping us updated on DH. He is the antithesis of what we’ve got in there now. Maybe our country will see the need for this very principled man in 2012, as we will be desperate for someone of his character to be elected as POTUS.
