I (Jamal Jivanjee) received this email from a former Muslim convert who is also living in fear because of his conversion from Islam to Jesus. He heard about Rifqa Bary's situation and was encouraged to not give up. In his message to me he expressed his desire that the truth be made known about what Islam is about and what converts from Islam to Christianity go through. He is still living in hiding at home.

He heard about Rifqa Bary’s situation and was encouraged to not give up. In his message to me he expressed his desire that the truth be made known about what Islam is about and what converts from Islam to Christianity go through. He is still living in hiding at home. This story breaks my heart day by day...more and more. I am also a Christian convert from Islam. I accepted Christ several months ago, and thankfully, have made it to age 18 without the knowledge of my family. However, it is getting more and more difficult, as I try and move out before my parents find out. Just as Rifqa’s situation was, my situation is and will be if my family learns of my conversion. It is one of the scariest things to live a life of fear- a life where you have to hide the truth about yourself. As much as I am positive and evidence proves the divinity of Jesus Christ, Islamic families have been brainwashed into thinking that Islam is the RIGHT way. I understand her situation, and when I heard about it, I knew God was sending a message to all people like her, including myself, who are going through the same situation. Support is needed and the word needs to get out about what the Islamic life is all about. I refuse to believe that a God would promote murder. Islam is not a way of life - it’s a life full of fear. I ask that you please extend this message to Rifqa if any way possible, and more importantly, thank you for your support to her because it means a lot to people like me who are preparing to face the wrath of an Islamic family sometime soon.
