Canada Health-Care scandal
Step one: Some provocative yet murky detail emerges about something she said or did, usually it comes from a leftist blogger. In this case, thatd be her admission that as a kid (6 years old) her family once crossed the border to seek medical care for her brother in Canada when Anchorage was 45 minutes away.
Step two: The media assumes the worst and beams out the shocking allegations taking out of context.( she is supposedly for socialize health-care at the age of six!)
Step three: Media corrects the story later on in the day, but it is too late, it hits like wild fire on the net, after the truth comes out (in context!)
My first five years of life we spent in Skagway, Alaska, right there by Whitehorse. Believe it or not this was in the 60s we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse. I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse and I think, isnt that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada.
Palins reality show scandal
Step one: The Hollywood Gossip reporter reports from supposedly anonymous sources that Palin is working on a Planet Earth-type docu-drama about Alaska for which cameras will follow her and her family around, in essence a reality-style show.
Step two: Media outlets like Reuters pick up the news of a potential reality show, leading sites like Mediaite to get all excited about Palin showing her true self, nothing but a country-bumpkin seeking fame and fortune on a skanky show and being a being a hypocrite involving her children in the media.
Step three: The truth.... The former governor, Mark Burnett (Survivor, Expedition Africa, Eco-Challenge) and Robert Barnett are in L.A. this week meeting with network heads about a documentary about Alaska. A source close to Palin says it is NOT a reality show of any sort, and NOT about her family, as some Hollywood media have speculated. It is about the people, geography, wildlife and wonders of Alaska. The source reports great interest in it from the nets. Meetings are yesterday and today with SIX networks.
The Silver Spoon/Greedy Palin scandal
Step one: E-online gossip reporter reports Palin, her hillbilly children and staff descended upon an Oscar gift suite like locusts, grabbing everything their grubby little hick hands could handle, being rude to employees and demanding preferential treatment
Step two: Media outlets start to fish around the story trying to collaborate the story, Huffington Post and other liberal blogs spread the news.
Step three: The truth, Palin made a $1,700 donation to the Red Cross while she was there and, according to Andrew Malcolm of the LA Times, donated all of the swag she picked up to charity. Also co-owner of The Silver Spoon Melissa Lemer has released the following statement regarding Governor Palin's visit and the false stories being promulgated by the media.
The Silver Spoon, a company owned and operated by women and established with a firm belief in supporting women in business and leadership, invited Governor Sarah Palin and her family to participate in a charitable function sponsored by The Silver Spoon and the Red Cross to support the Red Cross disaster relief efforts in Haiti. Governor Palin graciously accepted since it was in support of such a worthy and timely cause. The governor arrived with a small group about 15 minutes prior to our stores official opening; and upon arrival, she and her entire group gave generous donations to the cause. We offered to open early to accommodate her schedule; she did not ask us to open early. The other vendors routinely set up an hour before the event opens, so they were already there when the governor arrived. No one was asked to come in early. When Governor Palin arrived, she and her guests made generous donations. I escorted her around and introduced her to every vendor, and they talked to her about their products and gifted her with samples. She never asked for anything but politely accepted the products. The governor and her family and guests were very gracious and respectful to everyone. We asked and the governor happily agreed to take a photo with the American Red Cross staff and the staff of The Silver Spoon. The governor stayed for a total of about 35 minutes, thanked everyone, made an additional generous personal donation pledge to the Red Cross, and then departed.
The stories currently circulating about Governor Palins attendance at our event are total fabrications. Just one example of the many falsehoods is the ridiculous idea that Governor Palin walked away with 40 AIAIAI headphones. In reality, she was given two pairs of AIAIAI headphones one for herself and one for her daughter Bristol who could not attend the event. The idea that she took 40 pairs is an outrageous falsehood. It would have been impossible because the vendors only bring around 100 items for the entire two day event. They would have run out of product after an hour of opening yesterday.
Just to clarify things, the entire point of giving someone a swag bag is to have them take your product and hopefully purchase more. The whole point of giving away products is to give them away. Thats why we call this type of event style a gifting suite.
We would like an immediate retraction and an apology to The Silver Spoon, its vendors, and especially to Governor Sarah Palin.
GCM fears Palin as a threat to Romney’s Turn.
Thank you for stating up front the issue and listing the bogus claims.
Some have enjoyed posting these as fact
when they come from sites and sources that
run from far left to Marxist.
It tells how the DU trolls, Neo Leftist PaulBots,
and those with their personal agenda on FR are desperate
to trash and take out Sarah Palin knowing she is the Conservative Republican who can beat Obama.
Romney? or left?
Also PaulBots
*PING*
BOTH! LOL!!
And the usual suspects here on FR feel for all three, hook, line and sinker.
uh, FELL...
Its sad that the MSM uses liberal blogs as their source about Palin. Yet they don’t even bother to fact check the blogs.
It is so sad that so many of the dirty tricks
of Team Romney against Gov. Palin and her children
have gone through the media.
Shame on the MSM.
Shame on Romney.
Shame on the GOP for encouraging such attacks
on its own ticket.
One of them jumped on me the other day saying that it was a false conspiracy theory about some people on FR trying to troll against Palin
Her biggest scandal is campaigning for evil idiot RINO McCain.
All since Meg Stapleton stepped down, no? Maybe she was doing a better job holding back or responding to the press than we realized.
Is that being sarcastic?
Well done, Bigtigermike!
