Ever since President Obama began his public assault on Israel, I have been waiting for Congressional supporters of Israel to speak out, especially the Democrats who received 78% of the Jewish vote in the most recent election.
But the silence of the Democratic Party has been deafening, none of the usual whining from Chuck Schumer about the POTUS trying to pressure Israel while allowing the Palestinians to get off scot-free, nothing from Gary Ackerman about POTUS linking the creation of Israel to the Holocaust, even nothing from Anthony "The Weenie" Weiner about Obama's bigoted statements saying only are not allowed to live in Jerusalem. One would think that someone like Congressman Jerrold Nadler, who never misses a pro-Israel dinner (or any dinner), would speak out about the latest Obama criticism, bashing Israel for wanting to take care of the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel's tomb. Or you would expect my congressman Steve Israel to refuse the request of the White House to lend his name to a dinner sponsored by the anti-Israel group J-street.
You would expect all that, but none of it happened. As the far left progressive movement continues its stranglehold on the Democratic Party, the party faithful moves away from Israel to satisfy the progressives.

No longer? With the exception of Jewish voters, most dems have been anti-Israel for years.
When were they ever friends of Israel?
That is why, while most of my family are registered Democrats, they always vote Republican because the Republican party is Pro Israel. It’s the liberals and progressives of the party that are anti israel
Why do Jews so overwhelmingly vote for these clowns?
It never was nor was it pro Civil Rights for blacks,
they have mastered the act of disinformation and propaganda, and have turned facts against the Republican Party, who just roll over and play dead.
My thoughts exactly....Democrats would have allowed Israel to be wiped off the face of the earth were in not for the sensibilities of their misguided Jewish supporters in this country. Even then, they have done everything they can to undermine Israel without laying blame directly on a Democrat Stoop....

1) The DemonRat Party has NEVER been "the Pro-Israel Party" in the U.S.
2) It doesn't matter whether or not the DemonRat is "Pro-Israel" on election day, since 85+% of Jewish voters blindly support any DemonRat politician on the ballot. The DemonRats could campaign with swastika logos and promise to ban synagogues, that would be okay as they are "progressives" who love abortion on demand and other lefty causes.
Somehow I missed the whole pro Israel thing with the Democratic Party. Live and learn.
The the libs took control of Mule in 1972, and waited for the old patriotic Dems to die off. People who ‘’support’’ the party without knowing this are bequeathing a miserable existance for their kids and grand kids.

American jews and Democrats deserve each other. Republicans will still be pro Israel regardless of how most Jews vote.

And alot of American Jews seem to be more anti-Israel than American Baptists or American Penetcostals, too.
Most Jews in America are secular, no matter what they say or do regarding their religion. No full practicing, devout, religious Jew could ever forsake Israel, the “homeland” of the Jews for centuries. I have had the great opportunity and pleasure to work alongside citizen Jews in Israel and the military arms, the IDF and IAF. These are great people who come from all walks of life to protect their heritage, their religion, their country, their children and....the future of the nation of Israel itself. Shame should be metered to any Jew who supports those who would destroy the Israeli state and its historic, religious people. Remember, folks our nation was founded on both Jewish and Christian credo and beliefs to our very core. George Washington (he and Abe lincoln are da man!!!) was honored for his service by the most prestigious Jewish organization in America when he resigned from the Presidency. I’m sure most “American” Jews know none of this. And....certainly their political choice as POTUS, Barack “Hussein” Obama does not know it. Shucks, he doesn’t even have a clue about American history, unless he gets it from Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayres, Sol Alinsky, etc., all America haters. And.....ditto for the Democrat Party. Who’d have thunk it??? The American Jews backing the political leader (Obama) and political party (Democrat)determined to do in the Jewish nation. Sad commentary!!! And....sad for the entire nation of Israel and its people!!! Shame!!!
