Barack Obama peaked in our national polling at a 55/38 spread last May. Now he's at 48/47. What's most interesting to note about that shift in his numbers is that it has come completely among white people. In May his approval with racial minorities was a 73/17 spread and now it's an almost identical 77/17. But with whites he's fallen from slightly positive ground at 48/45 to strongly negative territory at 37/58.
That is part of the problem for Democrats this year in the midterm election. While white voters were only 74% of the electorate in 2008, they made up 79% of it in 2006 the last time there wasn't a Presidential contest on the ballot. So before taking anything else into account the party is at a disadvantage simply because of the likely demographics of the electorate.
It's important not to jump to too many conclusions about 2012 based on what happens this fall though- just because a whiter electorate helps contribute to Republican victories this year doesn't mean all those nonwhite voters won't be back to the polls to reelect Obama in 2012. But Obama probably does need to get his numbers with whites turned around if he's going to get reelected.
And this is from PPP, a traditionally Democrat-friendly polling group. Another poll that they conducted (found here), shows Obama leading all the GOP contenders, but just barely; Not a good position for a guy in office just over a year.
At CPAC Romney did a joke where he said that Lindsey Vonn's gold medal was stripped today because it was determined that Obama was going down hill faster.
I’ve been saying Obama is going to be hard to beat because of the solidarity of blacks behind him. However he still has 3 years to develop black “amorphous moodiness”.
People are finally getting wise to Obama’s bull. And neither he nor his party know what to do about it.

I just saw a clip on FNC of BO yaking away somewhere in Nevada. The “rainbow” props sitting behind him looked either dead, on drugs or insane. One ditzy broad had a huge ****eating grin on her mug the whole time. She looked a few bricks short of a load. Typical Obamites who just can’t seem to get a grip on reality.
I agree 100%. When the history books are written, it will be that event that was the beginning of the end. I also think that event had at least a little to do with Scott Brown getting elected in that state.
Hussein doesn’t really need white voters. If enough absentee ballots are mailed to enough black-filled ACORN offices and enough Black Panthers are stationed as “security personnel” at enough polling places, he’ll do just fine. Of course we ARE assuming there will be enough packs of Kools and $5 bills for the “general” voting public.
He’s still on the rise to -11 at Rasmussen. They keep this up and he’ll be at +99 in no time.

That moment took him down. That is when guilty whiteys realized he never had any intention to heal the race issues and lower the sea levels.

It’s interesting, if these numbers are right, how incredibly liberal are the vast, vast, vast majority of blacks.
Those were numbers for “minorities” not blacks. Black approval is much higher than 77%.
There’s only one thing about “racial minorities” that bothers me. It’s not their race. It’s what they think. Have these people utterly tuned out? Or do they actually consume lamestream media and believe the crap? Do they watch and listen to leftist, racially-oriented media exclusively? Is unemployment 2% among racial minorities???
They (the 77%) live in a different solar system from the one I’m in.
Hopefully 2010 and 2012 will be landslides.
There is sort of a mantra in this country, at least among punditry, that blacks are socially or within their families a highly conservative lot. Whenever I hear that I laugh out loud.
Obviously, there are extremely conservative blacks. Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams come to mind. The vast majority think to the left of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin no matter how self destructive that line of thinking really is.
