Note that I only heard 2nd hand that he (John Drew) will be on Monday’s show. I didn’t hear it myself or see it posted anywhere. They apparently don’t have a next day’s schedule on the website. Only a schedule for the current day. I hope it’s true. :)
You and I both do not view Obama as charismatic. Fortunately for him, we are not part of his target audience.
John Drew spent a lot of time studying charismatic leaders and speaks of Obama in those terms. My post piggy backs off his ideas.
That being said, Obama’s chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, is a specialist on running cult of personality type campaigns. While Obama may not appear charismatic to us, you can bet that David Axelrod spent quite a bit of time and money figuring out how to package him as a charismatic leader to others.

Almost every study of a “charismatic” leader is obsessed with the conditions that led to their rise. It is this obsession that Drew has in regards to Obama. A certain set of conditions need to exist for these leaders to ripen.

Everyone say a prayer for Dr. Drew. What he is doing is very courageous and he can expect nothing less than a severe mauling by the media when this gets out.
If the Republican Party were truly doing anything remotely close to their job not to mention the media, we would not be in a situation where someone like me is sitting at the kitchen table trying to help get a message out along with Dr. Drew.
Here is what Drew says about his Breitbart performance:
“In retrospect, I wish I had been more concise. I’m not ready for prime time. My dream is someone will edit this down to a 3-4 minute piece - legally - that can be easily retransmitted. Nevertheless, I’m grateful I got an opportunity to share what I know.”
Believe me, it was not a simple task to attempt to edit it down.
While he says a lot of intelligent things, they are not tailored to fit the 30 second political sound bite. You can tell he probably gives some interesting lectures but this is a different the showcase.
He does not have anyone to help him package this. Does anyone really believe the Democrats would not be sending handlers to coach and fine tune the message?
Was that “Tweet”, or whatever it’s called, from John Drew himself? Because it might have been someone who saw my posting of it here and then posted it there.(?)

Carlos Egan , a 40-year-old political science professor at Carleton College in Northfield, Minn., is believed to be among 131 people killed Saturday in the crash of an airliner in Honduras.

He was returning from a trip to Nicaragua to visit his fiancee when he was killed. Egan’s fiancee, Gloria Bacon, is the artistic director of the Modern Dance Company of Nicaragua.
