Interesting comparison of courage, determination and character. Unfortunately, Shackleton failed on all three voyages. If Palin really wants the White House she’d better be more prepared that Shackleton was.

Thanks for posting. I agree with this blog deserving its own thread (note: the blog link in the other thread is down). Well written. The analogies pointed out are valid. The story of Sir Ernest Shackleton and the crew of the Endurance is incredible (I think it's in IMAX now). The analogy is possibly a little over the top at times (i.e. did Sir Ernest have his lifeboats stray off course to endorse someone in AZ?), but Sarah is a courageous leader who faces her huge challenges headon as did Sir Ernest.

Did Sarah really put that same sign/ad on her office door on 7/3/2009? If so, that is way cool.
