Sarah is still Sarah...she is conservative and very independent in her thinking...I thought that’s why we loved her?
Look for her and everyone else to ride this indipendent wave.
It’s in Vogue.

I’m willing to suggest that she is being a bit clever, as well as loyal.
McCain will have to behave himself for nine months or Palin could pull the endorsement. We also don’t know what might have been said behind the scenes. The McCain statements about health care in the article can be taken a bunch of different ways. Most likely, he was trying to leave himself maximum wiggle room in all directions. With Palin on board, he has to be careful how he wiggles.

I think McCaine should hang it up, but if he wins he wins

Ridiculous. Sarah Palin is being a smart politician. It does not help for her to isolate herself from other prominant conservatives and Republicans — yes, including Juan McLame — by attacking or failing to support the deeply flawed and morally challenged senator from Arizona. Her campaign support for him will emphasize his conservative positions. She will downplay his many flawed positions. Now is not the time to cannibalize the Republican party. The party will be rebuilt and regain its strength (and possibly majority status) primarily with new blood challenging liberals. If Palin campaigns against McLame, it may fracture the Republican party beyond repair.

‘President’ Sarah Palin is a Good American. People who purport to be conservatives need to get off her skirt.

Palin has proven that she IS for sale if one picks her for veep. Shes endorsed a despicable traitor because he chose her as his veep For sale? Palin is not getting anything out of it so this doesn't prove she is for sale. The man is confusing sales with loyalty. I disagree with Palin for supporting McCain but it is obvious she did it out of loyalty and not to get anything for herself.

I would like to propose the disuse of the term "RINO". Why? Because there is no such thing. That which we Conservatives think of as the Ideal Republican, simply does not exist, it cannot. A "Republican" is a dominantly political animal, willing to compromise its values in order to seek political gain. That applies to ALL REPUBLICANS (and Democrats BTW). The term RINO is somewhat redundant, like "underwater fish".
If you show me a republican who is NO a RINO, then I submit that the person is simply a Conservative posing as a Republican.

There's something quite fundamental that people don't seem to understand here: If Sarah Palin accepted McCain's offer for Vice President, then she probably
already was comfortable and supportive of his policies. This new endorsement, for better or worse, only reinforces that.
This changes nothing.
To: rabscuttle385
Considering you are a main proponent here of opposing the Republican party, it seems you would be cheering that.

Arizona is going to dump McCain. If Sarah wants to hitch her wagon to a train wreck, so what?
If she can support McCain and not know about the rotten ads McCain has been running against JD Hayworth for weeks, she’s dumb as a rock.

She’s not a RINO. She is simply returning a favor. For all of McCain’s faults, McCain will be remembered best for bring Sarah Palin out of obscurity into the spotlight.
