I'm not the biggest Steele fan in the world, but I heard him amending that "can't take the House this year" remark on another show. He said something to the effect that yes, it is possible for the GOP to do so, but that the necessary candidates and party infrastructure are not in place quite yet, that they are still working on it.

So I suppose anyone interested in running for Congress this year as a Republican should give Steele a call?

My take is that Steele shouldn't be on a book promotion tour when working on getting Republicans elected in 2010 should be his top priority.

Wholeheartedly agree, except of course the possibility exists that he really doesn't do anything but serve as public interface and scapegoat. :') Thanks justiceseeker93.
