America's richest man has set up a college scholarship and "white" people are not allowed.
My daughter is starting college next year, like most parents we are attending college financing workshops to figure out a way to afford it.
We were presented with a list of scholarships as well and one struck me, the Gates Millennium Scholarship.
You have to apply by January 11 BTW if you qualify but to qualify, you must be: "African American, Asian, Hispanic or Native American.
Racism is wrong when it is in any direction.
Was she born in America? If so, she's native.

It’s his money, he can setup whatever rules he wants. There’s a lot of interesting scholarships out there with some fun restrictions on who is eligible, there’s a bunch of musical scholarships only available to lefties. The Southwest’s biggest car dealer, Jim Click, has a scholarship that’s only available to women mechanics, and ti comes with a guaranteed job. Scholarships are all about targeting, if you’re rich and you want more X in the world you setup a fund to help out people on the way to X.

Perhaps Whites should not buy any more Microsoft products until that discriminatory attitude by the Gates Foundation changes.
Like his mother, and myself, he is as caucasian as they come.
Obviously, a “whites only” scholarship would be viewed as “racist”.
When you ask liberals why there isn’t a “white history month” or some other equivalent, they always say “whites have all the other months”.
I’m not sure how they would justify a scholarship like this, though, because “all the other” scholarships are not given to whites, nor is there any screening for skin color or ethnicity.
You could sue the scholarship fund, but that’s about it. Maybe some lawyer looking to make a name for himself would take it up. What’s it worth to you?

Its all the Respectable Conservatives’ fault, because they play along with Left’s assumptions and quibble the details before they cave in and split the difference. If only someone asked how they prove racial identification, then this would all be over and we would move on, case closed. If you have a link I’ll query this very wealthy foundation to ask of them how they racially identify people and qualify them or disqualify them.

Any particular percentage of bloodline? Sound stupid? As stupid as RACE BASED QUOTAS and other PC BULLSHIT?

The outrage! He’s discriminating against Hawaiians and Australian aborigines.
Ordinarily, I tend to lean that way, but I wonder if he could have set up a "white only" or WASP-preferred scholarship fund, or if it would have been challenged and stopped as against the public interest. If not, then this is wrong. I'm tired of me and mine being discriminated against for not playing the loudmouthed diversity game. We've been too busy working and studying.
If someone wanted to have a "Whites only" scholarship, would they be allowed to or not. And even if they were allowed to, would they be up for twenty years of "random" IRS audits?
And now a more serious question: If I wanted to set up a scholarship for engineering students, but limited it to US citizens only, could I?
My neighbor kid has a Spanish surname. He’s about 1/8 Mexican and 7/8s Dutch and German. He has blond hair and blue eyes. The family is filthy rich. Two homes, one on Chesapeake Bay. The kid always had the best iPods and laptops. Grandpa was always taking the whole family on cruises, and renting beach houses on the Outer Banks.
Anyway, he’s applying to colleges. He’s an average student but he’s getting accepted to every place he applies. And a week after the acceptance letter comes the scholarship letters — they are throwing money at him. The letters speak of “the great personal contributions” that he will make to the class of 2014.
It’s so bizarre. All the colleges want is his Spanish name on a list so they they can brag about how diverse and caring they are.
Don’t buy anything from Microsoft.
Don’t run anything by Microsoft on your computer.
Isn’t that special?
