The government/IRS cracks down on “independent contractors” doing regular work. Of course if there are tens of millions of people claiming to be IC’s at once the IRS would bust a gasket.
You can bet the government-media complex to fire right back at those small business owners to convince the workers they have been harmed. Plus new taxes and regulations for IC’s to undo whatever revenue damage ensued.
Sorry but would not work. If you have people working in your building, using your tools/equipment, the irs would not let you claim them as 1099 independant contractor.

Not true. Case in point—real estate agents. In many states they are independent contractors who work out of central offices and use the office equipment, etc. But they are not ‘employees.’
Maybe a “National John Galt” Day where millions and millions of patriots “strike” as unions do and don’t show up for work. Wouldn’t stop the tax flow (especially those who use a vacation/personal day) but it just might get their attention.
Not only will the I.R.S. disallow the 1099 status of the employees, it will pursue the employers for the taxes they were supposed to withhold.
And then of course there's the wonderful little factoid that the one and only, SOLE piece of actual legislation ever drafted and introduced by Acting President's Apprentice, Barak Hussein Obama (OJT) during his grueling 147 day Senatorial career (before his colleagues ginned up an insipid last-minute "arms-control" thing and let him stick his name onto so he'd look "statesmanlike" for the campaign) was to require the withholding of all of the usual taxes/FICA, etc. from 10-99 holders, just like all of us regular old proles.
Which was most likely motivated by the thought of hordes of Californians who are 10-99'ed so thier employers can circumvent the onerous 80-some cents on the dollar Worker's Comp rates imposed by the reds in the Cal. State Assy., and actually stay in business.
Can't let those scofflaw "Fatcats" escape the long arm of the Commissar, you know. My God, think of the lost revenue!!!! When there're so many mouths to feed??? Do it for the children....
While that little gold-plated turd fortunately died in committee, how long do you think it would take them to dust it off and fling it across our bow, just for old time's sake?
The greatest nation on earth was created by the firing of MANY shots. If the radical left is to be driven from power and prevented from enslaving the American people, shots will be required once again.
