Sarah Palin: Redefining Feminism
The Americano ^ | 11-24-09 | Rachel Campos-Duffy

If the current pace continues, Sarah Palin’s Going Rogue is on track to become perhaps the best-selling nonfiction book ever. The extraordinary, record-breaking rollout and the throngs of fans who await Sarah at every stop of her nationwide bus tour is rivaled only by the endless succession of liberal talking heads who are willing to put aside years of carefully cultivated gender sensitivity in an attempt to finish off a job they had hoped they had taken care of last year – or at least in the last two months of granting Levi Johnston full access to the most coveted media outlets.

When Tina Brown laughs and defends Newsweek’s indefensible cover photo of the former governor in running shorts to Matt Lauer on The Today Show, and Naomi Wolfe on Larry King calls Palin “Evita” and a “Geisha” and accuses the fiercely independent Alaskan Governor of being the “muse” and “telegenic figurehead” of a Cheney/Rove/Haliburton cabal, you know there’s more fear than loathing in the liberal and feminist ranks.

Feminism: the not-so-radical notion that all women should either be a puppet for liberalism or get back in the kitchen.

I just bought Going Rogue and I’m about 100 or so pages into it. What a great read, informative. I’m really enjoying it. The woman’s definately got a good head on her shoulders. I heard she sold 700,000 copies in the first week.

To say the least about her pre-selling.

'Cuda doesn't have to define feminism. She is feminism.

The Nags and the libs are afraid of this woman and jealous at the same time because she does not play the victim or is some bitter old harpy a la Maureen Dowd and its so obviously hypocritical of the ‘’feminists’’ to attack such and accomplished , intelligent, compentent and caring a woman. And notwithstanding she’s also a gorgeous one too. They just hate that.

What women relate to in Sarah is precisely what separates her from old-guard feminist politicians like Hillary and Diane Feinstein – her easy, maternal style. Can you imagine Hillary bouncing a baby on her hip after accepting the VP nomination? Sarah embraces motherhood and authentic femininity with an unapologetic style that gives them their rightful power. It is something feminists have long rejected and continue to resist at their own peril.

Nice!

Liberal Feminists hate themselves when they look at Sarah Palin.

They see the macho, handsome man they never married. The long term relationship that always avoided them.

They see a beautiful woman of 45 without the bitterness and hatred written across her face.

They see the children they aborted.

They see the potential grand children they'll never have.

They see the femininity that they rejected, the skirts they'll never wear.

There's plenty to hate about Palin, if you're a "feminist".

Exhibit "A"

Feel free to add to the "evidence".

Garofalo used to be kind of cute. That’s what bitterness does to you.

Sarah is the definition of feminism, but the nags can't stand it. Oh, and she actually is feminine.

I never really understood the feminist label. Most of the ones spouting it seem to want to be more masculine than feminine.

Shouldn't they call themselves masculanists?

I guess masochists works too. :)

I just love watching this. Sarah Palin has done more for women in a year than the harpies of feminism have done in 40 years. It is driving them crazy.
