Yeah, I agree, Lincoln is the most vulnerable dem on this. She's the one to pressure and offer support to if she votes no.
The vote is on starting the debate.
So, Lincoln is unlikely to vote against it.
I’m not sure pressure works anymore. They are hearing it from both sides. Either they see the ramifications to the country—or they don’t. Most moderates are appalled at the probable costs. There are at least ten moderates who have expressed qualms:
Nelson of NE
Nelson of FL
Bayh
Lincoln
Warner
Pryor
Lieberman
Dorgan
Webb
McCaskill
And maybe even Feinstein of CA who has publicly complained about placing more mandates on her state.
This is not just a Republican nightmare.
