Here is video of Gayle King - editor at large of O Magazine - talking with the Morning Joe crew about Gov. Sarah Palin's interview with Oprah Winfrey. She said Palin comes across incredibly well with an audience, and is "very likeable." She said Palin was "very magnanimous" toward Levi Johnston, the father of her grandchild who is now making a career out of trashing her. In general, King seemed very impressed with Palin in the interview. . . . (VIDEO)

I would never trust any of that.

These folks hate all she stands for.

She’s America’s Sweetheart, and it makes the Left twitch.

Ah...maybe because SHE IS likable, and maybe if people can get past the corrupt MSM’s effort to demonize Palin andmake alin look like a dunce they would see that she is a very bright and likeable person!

As long as she is not perceived as a “threat” to their goals (e.g. the presidency) she will be “tolerated” and even have a few good things to say about her. I am waiting for “them” to take her political views seriously.........still waiting.......hmmmm, prolly won’t happen.

From what I saw on this video, both Gayle King and Oprah were pleasant and gracious.

The Palin/Oprah interview yesterday was significant in several ways, but particularly because it modeled intelligent but civil discussion between people who do not agree on much of anything politically.

Most of the folks on FR who bash Oprah Winfrey have rarely or never watched her show. They just know that she stands on the other side of their political beliefs.

Folks, in this country that is acceptable.

If we’re going to win people over to the conservative side, we must quit being so self-righteous and admit that the guy who disagrees with me is not necessarily evil.

He may not be evil, just wrong.

Oprah’s shows range from silly to serious, from political to broadly entertaining. There’s a reason she’s been wildly successful and on the air for so many years. It’s a good show, and when it isn’t to your taste, you can just hit the OFF button.

Palin’s willingness to appear on Oprah, knowing that their political viewpoints are completely opposite, should be a model for all of us. She was sincere, gracious, uncompromising, and completely charming. “She” refers to both parties.

Let’s all realize that we’re not going to win votes by offending Americans who have erred politically in the past. Take a page from Sarah’s book and quit turning your back (or labeling as evil) those who disagree with you.

After all, we have truth on our side.

All the hard core libs I know are arrogant and could care less about Obama and the democrat's corruption --that makes them at LEAST accessories to evil

I think you have given the most thoughtful response to the Oprah interview that I have read. I completely agree with you.

Nice to the face with a knife to the back. It won’t be long until Sarah is knifed.

Oprah seemed quite concerned about stories circulating that she had refused to host Palin. The perceived snub seems to have done Oprah some damage as she asked Palin to clarify several times - “I didn’t say you couldn’t be on my show, right?”

Still ... Sarah reached an audience that is mostly comprised of 0bama voters who know nothing of the real Sarah, until now.

The Left is hedging its bets. Oprah is a powerful force in the United States and her kindness to Palin did not go unnoticed. Obama is a failure and Palin is the “new” Obama. Different, not white male and, frankly, good for ratings. If Oprah promotes Palin, She becomes the nominee and Obama is in deep trouble...

If we claim to see bias where there really isn’t any, we’re no better than the carping critics of FNC.

I watched the entire interview with Oprah. My entire comment is on the Palin thread or via my In Forum posts.

Our Sarah was great, Oprah was fair and professional.

One more thing.

As some around here know, my formerly leftwing sweetie, is in Chicago. Teaches on the south side of Chicago. I was warned of the kind of audience Oprah attracts. It’s well known as a white, liberal Chicago suburb.

Obots, all the way. These are the ladies who can take enough time out of their day to stand in line for tickets to see their heroine, Oprah.

So you can imagine my surprise when, upon viewing it again via the internet, I noted that Gov. Palin was greeted by a STANDING OVATION from Oprah’s audience.

Go back and look at the clip; it will shock you.

The 2008 Palin snub may have been Oprah's "Dixie Chicks" moment. She had previously left politics out of her show, before Obama. She then realized that she had conservative women watching her show too, and she had just alienated them.

This was the first time I ever watched 0prah, and I thought the interview went extremely well. Yes, I noticed the standing ovation at the end, and I noticed that the audiance also gave Palin a round of applause at the very beginning, and laughed when she laughed as well. This is the type of reaction that neither 0prah or 0bama wanted, but I believe Palin went a long way to winning over at least the less loony left part of 0prah’s audiance. It will be interesting to see how many books are sold today, because a lot of them will be sold on account of that interview, I’m sure.
