Here is video of GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann clearly agitating Larry King by praising Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck as the places Americans are turning to in order to get "the truth." King tried to interrupt her, and diss the audience of the three conservatives, saying it is "only 2% of the population. Actually, Rush Limbaugh's audience alone is over 20 million people, which is 6% of the population. . . . (VIDEO)

Palin/Bachman 2012
Easy on the Eyes, Tough on Corruption
Pray for America
So Larry!
What percentage is listening to your softball nonsense?
She didn’t really answer the question, which was “Would you want them to be the voice of the GOP”. She was semi-praising them, but seemed to stop short. Why not just say, “Yes, they are an important voice for conservatism. They add value to the debate. They are not THE voice of the GOP, but they are an important part of the discussion, and judging by their ratings, a lot of Americans agree.” She came off as a little weasely to me.
I think she understands that these radio personalities are not (contrary to your assertion) the "voice of the GOP". They are the voice of American conservatism.
Speaking as a non-GOP conservative I think the only ones who understand this be us.
Perhaps, you should go on Larry King...
Larry King shows off his stellar math ability by repeating “it’s two percent” of the American people that listen to conservative talkers. 2% of the American people would be about zix million. Rush alone gets three times that many each week, And as a percentage of politically active adults, it’s much higher. Add in all the other shows, and I have no doubt at least 10-15% of regular voters listen to some of those shows each week. Which is why the Obomunists are working to take them off the air.
That’s not contrary to my assertion. Re-read my recommended answer. I used the word conservatism. I’m just saying, she seemed like a typical politician dodging a question when in reality she seems like she ought to be able to just answer it directly. I didn’t think she was the type to squirm. She sounded like a Senator, and that’s not a compliment. It was OK. She was basically supportive. That’s why I don’t get why she couldn’t give a clear answer, even if she had to question the premise of the question.
Sort of ironic for CNN to be mocking someone’s ratings.
She understands her role as a “representative” of the people, something many of her peers fail to grasp. It doesn’t matter how she, personally, feels about an issue. Her job is to guage the feelings of her constituents and act accordingly. She gets it. If only others did.
Well, she IS a Republican. I don't really care either way. I just expected something a little more direct and unreserved, given her reputation. It's fine. No one's perfect.
great job sorry she did not have stats so she could nail him on the 2 % thing
Yes, they are the voice of conservatism in America. Whether the GOP chooses to embrace them, or run aways tells us all we need to know abou the Republiticians.
I think the point she was driving at was they are all voices of conservatives which are the bulk of the Repblican Party.
bttt
You really seem to be right on. At this particular time in history you can tell *exactly* who the conservatives are - and are not - by their reaction to these pundits.
What we need now are regular folk who understand what they, and conservatives, are saying to stand up and run for office. If I were capable I think I'd try even though I'm not sure I could bring anything very special to the table. But I can't anyway so the point is moot.
She is another reason I get facebook.
THERE IT IS! Right before our very eyes...the mainstream media excuse. The message Larry is given in the conference room by some liberal suit who has just spent his day justifying CNN’s pitiful performance in the ratings.
