Today is the start of our most holiest holiday and an opportunity for us to repent our sins. This will not be a self flagellation, but rather advice to 78% of you. Same 78% of you who voted for Obama despite the most obvious and egregious radicalism displayed by any presidential candidate in our history. Today is the time you think about your position in America and where your loyalties lie. Nine months have passed and what was obvious to the 22% of us one year ago should be as clear as day by now. Liberals no longer represent us nor do they act in our best interest. In fact the entire Democrat party for which you have foolishly sworn allegiance to has been spitting in your face for decades. They do not care about our religion, do not care about our history, do not care about Israel and do not care about the rampant anti-Semitism due to "radical" Islam. Just like the Democrats no longer fight for the middle class, they no longer represent American Jewry and it's time you acknowledge what has become fact to so many of us.
Liberalism is just a political ideology, but to many of you it has replaced Judaism and is your new De facto religion . You are blinded by a belief and a movement that has the capacity to hurt so many regardless of how many examples are provided to the contrary. I disagree with that in that it used to be a sign of education to be knowledgeable in more than one language; on the other hand, for official purposes it is much desirable to have a single common [official] language: in this case it would be English.
I just assumed it because if a goy wrote it and posted it here they would be excoriated for it.
Old fashioned guys like me are often out of sync with most Jews. I like them and find them fun to be friends with but more often I don’t talk politics with them.
I have had intimate relationships with Jewish women but their folks were not overly crazy about me but frankly now that I am older I understand parents preferring to keep the gene pool similar.
Most I know fear Christian Conservatism more than anything but their momma.
And I like Israel for purely personal non religious reasons.
I do wish they appreciated my support of them more and didn’t so often work against the culture I wish for.

I was never religious growing up as a Jewish kid in the Valley. I have my own beliefs with which I am comfortable. I feel more distant from Judaism than ever before since my congregation adopted liberalism and a nanny state, and subordinated tikkun olam (healing the world) as a government function.
These are a people who have lost themselves to a secular fundamentalism and have thrown their faith under the bus.
They are still the Chosen People— and have not cornered the market on hardness of heart.
Jewish or otherwise.....we all have a lot to repent for. Even those of us standing firm in our beliefs. We allowed this by compromising in the past; letting things slide.....things we knew were wrong. Really talking to myself mostly.....I always thought that voting for what I knew was right would be enough. Giving to the right causes etc but now see, it wasn’t enough. If you’re going to talk the talk, you have to walk the walk.....I’ve done a poor job of that

Gallup Poll: 75 Percent Of Jews To Vote For Obama
New Gallup poll shows 75% of U.S. Jews plan to vote Obama

A new poll released by the Gallup organization on Thursday shows Jewish voters favor Barack Obama over John McCain by more than 3 to 1, with 74% saying they will vote for Obama over 22% for McCain. The poll, which has interviewed over 650 Jewish registered voters each month since June, shows American Jews growing increasingly comfortable with Obama since July, when the Illinois Senator tied up the Democratic Party nomination. The poll shows support for McCain among Jews stood at a high of 34% in June, before beginning its downward turn in July after Obama’s nomination. The highest level of support for Obama according to the poll is among Jews over the age of 55, 74% of which have said they’re voting for Obama over 67% of Jews 18 to 34. The Gallup organization says the disparity could be based on a greater inclination among Jews 18 to 34 to call themselves Conservative, but says a similar inclination isn’t apparent among Jews aged 35 to 54, 68% of which polled by Gallup have said they’re voting Obama.
The poll’s findings show that in spite of a certain measure of trepidation among some Jewish voters towards Obama early in his campaign, he is set to receive the same percentage of the Jewish vote (74%) as John Kerry in 2004, and only slightly less than the 80% of the Jewish vote that Al Gore received in 2000 when he had a Jewish running mate in Joe Lieberman.

I have a friend, an immigrant, a former Israeli Airborne trooper. He came here in the early 80s, fought in the ‘73 war. He’s a gun guy, as conservative as I am, and I asked him a similar question. He shrugged his shoulders and said “I have no answer for you. I have no clue.”

I’m NOT Jewish but grew up in the Valley in a very Jewish area — most classmates were Jewish and we celebrated all Christian/Jewish holidays at the public schools, equal time for both.
Jewish teachers in grade school went right along with the Christmas Play and adjusted our ‘angel’ wings etc. Then we all played with Dreidels and gold (chocolate) coins and such — no problem.
Now much older, I see more anger around here - American Jews seem not to care about Israel at all — in fact, one long-time friend, in his sixties, says he is an American Democrat and pays no attention to Israel at all; and doesn’t “care what happens over there.”
I would be hard-pressed to find any Israel sympathizers amongst Jews in this southeast area of the Valley. Obama-Biden stickers still decorate many many cars, lots of them belonging to the Jews. Most Jews in my neighborhood voted for Zero claiming Palin ‘scared’ them. (Heard that from a couple of neighbors).

Having a common language does not preclude anyone from aspiring to learn additional languages. Historically, the founding fathers were well versed in French/Spanish, but only because important texts were written in those languages and the respective countries were dominant powers. This has long passed.
It used to be a nationwide mentality. The libs have succeeded in ruining that - for now.
Life is a wheel; people’s lives, and the lives of Nations.

If it's any comfort to you, the same thing has happened to many Protestants and Catholics who grew up in spiritually conservative congregations, only to see the kudzu-like tendrils of secular humanism and Marxist ideology start creeping in and soon choke out the scriptural basis for the religion. Biblical Christians regard themselves as the "grafted-on" branch of Judaism, and we do call ourselves "Israel" in many of our rites, hymns and prayers.
All faithful Jews and Christians need to reclaim our temples and churches. I am still searching for a righteous congregation after leaving the denomination that defined my family since the 1700s, which was worse than a divorce. Good luck to you finding a new congregation some day soon, as well.
