We are, what, only six months into the Obama Administration? No, it is actually nine. Okay, fair enough. Whatever; It feels much longer.
It’s only been a short time, considering an American presidential administration lasts 48 months—assuming that it does not get a second run or the president does not have his term ended sooner.
But it is scary that, only nine months into a presidential term, America and the world seem to feel like they are spinning out of control.
Trust me, I am not an alarmist. And, certainly, not someone that would be considered a blind asshole, conservative when it came to evaluating the potential of the Obama Administration.
In fact, I was an idealist-realist, like many of you. Someone that felt like no matter how supported Barrack Obama was by the Far Left, and how bereft the man was of credentials, the man was a Harvard Law grad, a good speaker, and—on his face—a bottom-line pragmatist at heart. There had to be a glimmer of optimism in any an ideological pessimist if the man got elected, no matter how un-precedential a man with his lack of experience could be when it came to occupying the White House.
And, damn, if he did not get elected—although, for the record, I held my nose and voted for the opposition.
Boy was I wrong. I bet many others are thinking the same thing. The phrase from the movie “Animal House” seems to sum it up best: “You ‘F’ed’ up, you trusted us.”

I sleep well, I keep remembering that the 2nd is still in effect. When it ends then I will not only stop sleeping well, I will probably be much more physically active.

If it were just Obama, I’d sleep fine, it’s Congress that keeps me up at night. I see them in a catch 22. Even if they don’t like what he’s doing, even if they think he’s tearing the country apart, they don’t see themselves as having a choice. They sure can’t partner up with Republicans and they’re not made of the kind of stuff to go it alone. The worst part is they’d rather destroy America than give up their office or perks.
That’s our “balance of power”. That’s what keeps me up at night.
Trust me. I am one of those conservative assholes that has been warning people I talk to about politics of the danger of the communists and their proxy Democrat Party for almost forty years. Many of us gave warning and some attempted to use the courts to arrest the sedition. But the courts were already co-opted by the left and also as we discovered, the congress. And smug self righteous people would not listen. And the menace grew. It took over the schools, then the inner cities, our large urban areas and now many states. Indeed the marxists have taken over the country. From your words I take it that you did not heed the warnings. From your words it seems that rather than help those that have tried to warn America you ridiculed and made sport of us. So afraid to be thought of as anything but cool. Thereby helping the enemies of life take over the U.S. and soon perhaps the world. And now that you see them for what they are, you are afraid. You should be.
There are many signs that Obama has overplayed his hand, as many here expected, and that he sounds increasingly hollow and out of touch with reality.
This has really been a sort of failed leftist revolution, and it failed the moment that Rush Limbaugh stood up on February 28th and called the American people to take full stock of the situation. Since then, the leftist revolution has bogged down in the inevitable chaos that its impossible goals would necessarily produce.
And the main reason why a leftist revolution cannot succeed in America is that there are not enough revolutionaries, and among them, not enough sheer sadistic toughness. They would have needed to oppress the majority, and they don’t have what it takes to do that. These people were never any kind of a threat like Lenin and Stalin were in their time.
In the final analysis, they are too soft and too ready to quit, because in North America, the only reason anyone would ever become a socialist is that they want others to take care of them, which is a sign of softness from the beginning. As soon as this glorious revolution became too difficult (about a day after Limbaugh’s speech) most of them began to give up and whine that it was all the fault of the right. Your country will return to normal soon; Obama may spend the second half of his term trying to deal with an increasingly hostile Congress, then he will be swept away, possibly even by his own party.
The only danger is that his almost criminal negligence on foreign policy will get the whole world into serious trouble, and that’s what we all have to work against from now to the end of this nightmare.
Has anyone come up with a clear picture of where Obama is going with America, if he gets his way?
