How Is This Not Cause for Armed Rebellion? Man Made Drought
Free Republic Bloggers and Personal | September 18, 2009 | PittsburghAfterDark

Posted on 09/17/2009 11:11:26 PM PDT by PittsburghAfterDark

I want to know how the situation covered on Hannity today is not cause enough for armed insurrection by the people of California against the tyranny of Washington DC.

I want to know how governor Schwarzenegger has not called out the national guard and by force of arms turned the water on.

I want to know how any rational human being can look at the starving of an area, the destroyed landscape, the human misery caused by artificially starving an area of a natural resource and defend it.

I want to know if our government would accept such actions committed by a foreign power and not declare it an act of war. We know they would. Yet I want to know why this isn't an act of war against the American farmer and California in particular.

When I look at things in our nation's history like the "Whiskey Rebellion" arms have been taken up for far less provocation against an overreaching government.

I want to know how Nancy Pelosi can decry the language of political speech while allowing the government she serves in to starve and decimate the people of her state while holding the most powerful position in the legislative branch.

Why are we accepting this? Why are we trying to work through the courts? Why are our elected representatives failing? Why have we allowed people to starve, regions to parch, families to collapse, communities to turn to dust?

How are these people not emptying out their gun cabinets and taking up arms against being starved by an oppressive government?

If this won't cause armed insurrection nothing will.

I was furious beyond words watching this tonight. This isn't over regulatory government. This is a declaration of war against the native population.

I saw part of that Hannity show. I had a question that I didn't get answered. When did the water get turned off? It sure looked pretty dry there for having had no water for a few months.

You know what?? Those farmers are already lining up to get their food aid off the back of trucks, like something in a 3rd world country.

Most people have no idea. Higher food prices are being forced on us on purpose just as high energy prices will be and the blame will be deflected from those causing it to those who did not.

I do not understand why they just don’t turn the valves back on?
Who controls them ? And whoever controls them , what are they going to do if a few thousand people show up and say
“we’re turning OUR water back on” Will the valve controllers
call the Sheriffs? or who? And they are going to refuse the people , in defense of the pissants that have caused this situation ? Doubtful....I’d say it’s time for a little
People Power . stop being ninnies and get out there in your thousands and just turn on the damn water already .

I was able to only hear about 10 minutes of the show, but Schwarzenflubber was on. What I heard him say was “my hands are tied; nothing I can do”. Which means to me that he doesn’t want to do anything about it. His environmentally aware dem wife would probably cut his pecker off if he did. He doesn’t give a flying f**k how many farms and how much food production is going down the tubes.

Yes it infuriates me. Can we start shooting yet or do we still have to play the politically correct “civility” game?

Look at what happened during the Bonus Army, when NFA was passed, GCA ‘68. Exactly nothing, and it is what we’ll continue to do.

Every person involved in writing NFA and getting it passed should have been in handcuffs the next day and thrown in jail for life.

We’ll continue to do that which we’ve been doing for a long time - nothing.

Whoever thought that in the United States we would see government shutting down farms in order to purposefully cut down the food supply and raise food prices?

if these environmental terrorists had a half a brain, they would just raise some of these worthless endangered minority fish in a fish farm and they would have so many, they could open a chain of sushi bars and still have some left over.

but no

thier purpose is not to save the fish, it is the destruction of capitalism

yes it is a war. The communists are taking over without firing a shot.

Few Californians even know about this.
If local news was responsible, this wouldn’t be the case.
It is, for whatever reason, a partisan issue, with the Democrats on the wrong side of course, so for that reason the media won’t touch it here. Neither has Arnold.

Some state represenatives, like Tom McClintock did, though.
Tom is in the US Congress now, and I bet he will make an issue of it there. However, he is only 1 of 435.

I believe the pumps were turn off May 31, 2009 for the Ca aqueduct. This subject valley experiences hot summers (105'-118'), dry with little humidity. Therefore ground evaporation is rapid.

I was somewhat north of Sacramento this past Winter/Spring and the I-5 area was green lush...it's barren and becoming a dust bowl this past month. Farming is a day/week/month gamble.

Even if one lives in a temperate zone with average rainfall, a few dry weeks can wreck havoc on crops/trees. A few years ago, I lived in an area that had little winter moisture. The Spring rainfall was also below average. By late June, early July the area had a 'water advisory', lawns were parched brown, trees dropped off leaves, dirt was cracked open. All this happened even though the previous year the area was a lush green.

It does not take long for the land to become as one perceives in the present Fresno valley. One also as to know that many of the crops that take years to mature/produce (i.e. almond trees) are near a total loss.

As one interviewee on the Hannity show set forth that...possibly the government wants the farmers bankrupt and out of the land as Pelosi has plans for turning the land from crop farms to solar farms.

Every American alive has a reason to take up arms against the government. The federal government is not what it was intended to be and has taken illegal power. This has been happening for decades.

The problem is that we have no leader, or any great demand to get rid of the illegal federal government. So there is no point in doing anything violent, because it would just hurt our own cause. We need to do this without violence, but be prepared for it if does come to that.

“How Is This Not Cause for Armed Rebellion? Man Made Drought”

The environazi’s have always falsely comandeered the higher moral ground. They’ve always managed to bamboozle the masses that they are the good guys. This could be the first crack in their rotten pedestal. The first taste by the masses of what these lunatics have in store for them.

We need to take every one of these opportunities to expose their human hating, elitist, narcissistic, and simply insane “religion”.

Sleeeeeeeep everyone........Sleeeeeep

We are now beginning to pay the terrible price of having a politically complicit media. Fox is the only network that's even reported on this travesty. We hear a little about it here in CA but I'm shocked it's such news to you out of staters.

Believe me, this is only the beginning. The Endangered Species Act is designed to eliminate land use by human beings at the whim of liberal human-haters. The goal is to return America to roughly the environment and population that existed before Lewis & Clark. It sounds crazy but that's what they're determined to do.

"

There is no "local" or any other from of "news". What we see on TV is propaganda for the DNC.

This is the number ONE reason why our country is in trouble IMO. The Founding Father's prescribed a "Free Press" to act as a further "check and balance" to the government. We just don't have one unfortunately.

There are a couple of bright spots i.e. one cable channel, and a couple of internet sites. But much more needs to be done. There are just way too many uninformed citizens.

That's exactly correct.

These farmers in this valley ought to arm themselves, go to the shut-off valves and turn them on...then stand guard over the valves.

I could only hear about 4 minutes of one speaker in DC last Saturday but the one I heard was a former car dealer from New York who said the Gummint was able to take his business away even though it was succesful and now someone else is running his business. He warned that if they gummint could do to him what it did, it could do anything to any of us and now I see this dust bowl in CA. Incredible. Who was it, Claire Wolfe, who asked when do we start shooting the bastards?

As I watched this on Hannity, the first thought that come into my mind was the Ukraine famine. I guess it was something about seeing the dried out empty fields that reminded me of it? Disturbing.

I didn't know anything about Ukraine, until another FReeper posted about it.

The story has an example of criminal non-reporting by the press (Walter Duranty- apparently our media problems are nothing new).

It is an interesting read, and something everyone should know about.

Not saying that this is what our government is up to. But there is something very strange going on.
