Here is video of White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on This Week with George Stephanopoulos this morning where he was asked to react to the resignation of Van Jones as President Obama's "Green Jobs" Czar.
Gibbs refused to say that Obama wanted Jones to resign, but rather said Jones decided to resign so he would not "get in the way" of Obama's agenda. Gibbs said Obama "thanks Jones for his work."
Stephanopoulos pointed out the news came through at 12:12 AM ET that Jones had resigned.

Of course not. That would be an admission of less than perfection by the One, as in “Van was a poor choice.”
Anyone spending any measurable amount of time listening to Jar-Jar Gibbs is a bozo.
Gibbs is Obama’s white lawn jockey.
It appears as though some kind of a deal was made under the cover of darkness last night. Remember, tax deadbeat, Tommy Daschle was thrown under the bus by the ObamaComs and now that things have cooled down, the ObamaComs have welcomed him back with open arms.

No, that’s actually not the storyline. Van was poorly treated by Glenn Beck and other right-wing “fringe” extremists who are out to take down this noble administration. Because Van doesn’t have a self-centered bone in his body, he willingly sacrificed himself so as to let the great work of this administration move ahead unimpeded.
We are saying the same thing, with different focus. What you say IS the story line. I'm saying that it HAS to be the story line, because Obama is never sorry about any thing he does or choice he makes because of his huge ego.
How does this POS Gibbs sleep at night, knowing that virtually every word that comes out of his mouth is a lie? The only thing I can think of, is that socialists and communists believe that anything that furthers their cause, is good, moral and just. These pieces of s--- are utterly morally bankrupt, and I am sure most of us here, hold them in total contempt.
... and probably gave him a $900K/year pension for life for his "service".
I think Van Jones resignation is a farce, the admistration will simple reassign me under a different government title and things will be as they were
The MSM barely even noticed the WH had a self avowed marxist in a Czar position so Obama has only to appear to have resolved the issue and not fear any media meddling
Every time I see that pasty faced POS, Gibbs on TV I get the douche chills.
Why would Gibbs say otherwise? The reason for a resignation is so Jones could save face. Otherwise Obama could just have fired him, but that would not have gone over well with his base.
thats fine, BO didn’t want the racist, communist guy who thought the US Govt was behind 9/11 to resign. that pretty much adds up with the rest of his cabinet.
Because NOTHING is as BIG as Obama’s plan for this country.

Imagine if any comparably extreme right wingnut had been discovered in the Bush admin: a Bircher, a segregationist, whatever... Imagine the MSM refusing to print or broadcast one word about it. Imagine the wingnut being allowed to resign with dignity, rather than being fired. Imagine Bush admin officials refusing to say a word against, or even about, his extremist views and advocacy. Imagine that Bush admin officials even praised the idividual as brilliant, inspiring and selfless.
If you managed to imagine all that, watch out for pigs flying in the windows.
