Make no mistake about it Sonia Sotomayor’s presences on the Supreme Court is primary about Race and Sex politics but secondarily its about changing America in ways that you’ve never thought of (more on that later). Just read the headlines mostly every last one report that she is the Courts first Hispanic justice and that she is female. Most of the reporting to date has been about her Latina life story while hardly any of the reporting has been analysis on what makes Sotomayor the best choice out of all of the possible picks that a president could have selected to be a Supreme Court Justice. (see article)and (here)

From this point forward every time I see Sotomayor looking down from the bench of the Supreme Court I will see and be reminded of what the first Black president’s covet Racism has wrought upon this country. I will see, ¡Viva la Raza!

Barack Hussein Obama was touted as the post racial candidate however since entering the office...

IF she was a wise white woman

No one would argue that Sonia Sotomayor’s qualifications are impressive and worthy of consideration to be a Supreme Court Judge, however, upon closer examination, it is apparent that she believes the role of a judge is to create law from the bench rather than applying the law as written.

Apparently for Sotomayor, its just a laughing matter!

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion [as a judge] than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

This statement above is categorically the epitome of racism. Why is Ms. Sotomayor stereotyping and assuming that white male judges can not render fair and just judgments and that the cases presented before a supreme court justice will inevitably involve experiences solely reserved for a Latina woman? The nomination of a United States supreme court justice should involve an individual’s qualifications and character, not ethnic background or other divisive considerations.

No charge for the editing.
Next week we will address sentence structure.
