More lack of transparency from the Administration that promised to be the most transparent in in history. Sometime this week the Senate may be voting whether or not to give an additional $2 Billion to the program. Funny thing is Obama's department of transportation is stonewalling the the release of the data that would show how the program is doing. How can the senate vote on the extension of a bill without knowing whether the program is a success or not? Well when you look at how the president has rammed things through before, without letting congress read the bills, you come to realize that its just the Obama way:

The fact that you ask this question tells me that you’re crazy and dangerous. Some kind of conspiracy theorist. [/sarc]
245,000 of the 250,000 cars traded in were in Chicago...
Rush said because over 60% of the new cars being bought are Hundais, Toyotas, and Hondas.
obfuscation-is-transparency alert.
“Cash for Clunkers” does not need more money. It isn’t out of money:

What are they hiding? Where is the money going? How corrupt is the Obama administration?
When I heard one billion was gone in a week I could only think, “organized crime,” which, in my experience, also runs many of the major health maintenance organizations and pharmaceutical companies.
“Republicans believe every day is the 4th of July, democrats believe every day is April 15”
I like your tagline, but it ought to read “Conservatives . . .”, not “Republicans . . .”
The dealers love this because the more used cars getting crushed and off the market, the higher the price of affordable used cars. And how tone deaf is it for the government to encourage people to destroy assets worth more than $4,500 in order to purchase new assets that lose 20% of their value or more the second the wheels roll off the dealer's lot? And use my money and your money to do it?
Next, people will given a $4,500 tax credit to move into a green home but only if their old home is bulldozed and destroyed.
Just remember to keep those tires inflated.
Politicians don't hide things that make them look good.
according to AP reported in today’s Tampa Trib:
July sales 2009 compared to 2008
Ford/Linc/Merc +1.6%
Chrysler Group -9.4%
Subaru + 34%
Hyundai + 12%
Toyota - 11%
What were obozo/GM numbers?
Now that Congress is deciding whether to allocate more clunkers money, isn’t it totally obvious that they should have access to the results of the just-ended clunkers experience? I can’t find words to describe how obvious that is. Also, since we taxpayers are paying the bill, isn’t it obvious that we are entitled to see the results? Why are these things so obvious, but yet the data is being withheld? Because the data would be embarrassing to a few individuals.
First thing the dealerships did was ‘clear’ their lots of the ‘clunkers’. Imaginary owners trading in these clunkers for cash. Get real people and look at your towns and see how many ‘paper’ tags are on new cars. This program went up in smoke to the dealerships to rid their lots of the clunkers on the list.
FNC just reporting Senate ‘Rats expect to vote more money by the end of the week. The American public needs to see that data.
Thats the way Ronald Reagan said it - my favorite quote. Also there’s alimit to the number of characters in a tagline.
BTTT.
