Virgina Poll: 14% of Obama voters will vote Republican for Governor
Patriot Room ^ | July 30, 2009 | Bill Dupray

I was going to run with the major news coming out of the poll that Republican Bob McDonnell is shellacking Democrat Creigh Deeds by 15 points (not to mention the Republicans leading comfortably in the Lt. Governor and Attorney General races), but the real news may be that Obama's voters are bailing on the Democrats.

The Independents are getting a severe case of buyers’ remorse after saddling the nation with this disaster of a president.

“9% of John McCain voters say they will cross over and vote for Democrat Deeds.”

Stockholm syndrome - IMO!

This is excellent news.

I hope there’s enough of a surge in Virginia so that the GOP can increase their numbers in the House of Delegates. The last two elections haven’t been kind to the GOP’s once-strong hold on the Legislature.

On a side note, I wonder if the national media will report a strong GOP win in Virginia as a sign of a resurgent GOP - owr whether they’ll under-report the significance of it.

I suspect the latter.

“they’ll under-report the significance of it.”

The lame-stream-media will label Virginia racist and redneck...for turning its back on socialism — ooooppps, I mean change.

MSM pundits will say two things:

(1)
“Nothing to see here folks...move along...move along”

(2)
“Just a blip on the radar. Obama will lock this state up in 2012.”

Maybe they just saw Gary Cooper's Longfellow Deeds, playing the trombone in “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town” (1936).
Jokes aside this is excellent news for Bob McDonnell and the Republican Party in VA. The 0bama effect just keeps giving.

Sadly for 0bama, his ACORN thugs are not gonna be finding it that easy to steal the elections in VA in 2012, with a tough Republican Governor in VA. All these election losses by the Dims are gonna come bite 0bama in the butt in 2012.

At this point in the race only one thing is certain: The Washington Post will do everything in its power to destroy Bob McDonnell.

Let us do everything in our power to insure that Pravda on the Potomac fails.

I have not seen one Deeds sign or bumper sticker in the Richmond area. Lots of McDonnell signs and stickers. Except for the African-Americans, I think the rest of VA is having a serious case of buyers remorse with Zero. Which is more than what I can say about Californians who would probably vote overwhelmingly for Zero again.
