People are getting this out, that’s good. But they have to stop with “He is not an American citizen”. There is a difference between “American citizen” and “Natural Born Citizen”.
you’re right . . . sorry. Here’s the link to the original post for those who want to make comments on the original thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2296627/posts
The s—t is beginning to stink. Let’s keep stirrin’.
How would anyone know that he is an American citizen of any sort?
What district/state does Mike Castle represent ?
God Bless that woman....I like the way they screamed “Under God” during the pledge...
I've heard various definitions requiring anything from one parent a US citizen with the child born anywhere in the world to both parents citizens with the child born on US soil, but I have no idea which (if any) is the real definition.
Legs.
Well, he would not be a US Citizen if he wasn’t born on US soil because his mother was not old enough to transfer citizenship to us.
He also would not be a “Natural Born Citizen” if he was to have to be naturalized later on.
I may be incorrect in him not being a “US Citizen”, but I just think that sounds more outrageous and will cause people to think “Oh, they are nuts”. We need to focus on the specifics of “Natural Born” for the office of President and then maybe people won’t just arbitrarily dismiss it.
Delaware - At Large (only one congresscritter)
What in the world does THAT mean?
If Obama's mother was an American citizen when Obama was born, then Obama is a "natural born American citizen", and it DOES NOT MATTER where he was born. PERIOD.
If am American citizen gives birth to a child outside the USA, that child is a citizen at birth.
For instance, if an American soldier (who is an American citizen) fathers a child who is born overseas, that child is a an American citizen at birth -- REGARDLESS of the age of the child's parents.
“”Well, he would not be a US Citizen if he wasnt born on US soil because his mother was not old enough to transfer citizenship to us.”

I’m sorry, but you are incorrect. Obama’s mother was 18 when he was born. According to laws at the time he was born, she was not old enough to be able to transfer citizenship to him.
I will have to search for the immigration dept website, but this is verbage taken straight from it.
Please note this section:
“If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.”
Obama’s mother was 18. Therefore not old enough on her OWN to transfer citizenship since Obama’s father WAS NOT A US CITIZEN.

. December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986
If at the time of your birth both your parents were U.S. citizens and at least one had a prior residence in the United States, you automatically acquired U.S. citizenship with no conditions for retaining it.
If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16. There are no conditions placed on retaining this type of citizenship. If your one U.S. citizen parent is your father and you were born outside of marriage, the same rules apply if your father legally legitimated you before your 21st birthday and you were unmarried at the time. If legitimization occurred after November 14, 1986, your father must have established paternity prior to your 18th birthday, either by acknowledgment or by court order, and must have stated in writing that he would support you financially until your 18th birthday.
Here is the immigration law site under findlaw.com
Same information.
You are correct about the soldier, but only if that soldier was older than 19, lived in the US until that age or his/her child was born after 1986.
