Long-Time White House Reporter: On Sarah Palin, We “Took Sides”

Carl Cannon is also saying that Joe Biden simply wasn’t held to the same standard as Sarah was. As if that’s a surprise. When has there not been a double standard for Republicans and Demcorats. It is just more pronounced with Palin.

In the 2008 election, we took sides, straight and simple, particularly with regard to the vice presidential race. I don’t know that we played a decisive role in that campaign, and I’m not saying the better side lost. What I am saying is that we simply didn’t hold Joe Biden to the same standard as Sarah Palin, and for me, the real loser in this sordid tale is my chosen profession.

Here’s a run-down of what Cannon is talking about when he says that Biden didn’t get the same scrutiny Palin did:

Sen. Biden, however, was in a place by himself when it came to bogus claims, absurd contentions, and flights of rhetorical fancy. He threw out several assertions that were so preposterous that – had Palin made them – they would have prompted immediate calls for McCain to dump her from the ticket.

The good senator from Delaware warmed up slowly, erroneously claiming that McCain voted with Obama on a budget resolution, and asserting wrongly that Obama wanted to return to the Reagan-era marginal income tax rates. He also embarked on an appallingly wrongheaded monologue about the constitutional history of the vice presidency. But when the talk turned to national security, presumably Biden’s purported area of expertise, he went completely off the grid.

No, you didn’t take “sides”.

You took *side*, singular.

He lies to himself. They took sides to the extreme in the presidential election also. Carl Cameron is a liberal, biased reporter.

This revelation is right up there with “the earth revolves on an axis” as a news item.

Sorry, a-hole, you don't belong to a profession. Professionals are bound by ethics. You don't have any.

Of course they did...but in the end, it will work out for Sarah because she will end up being the 1st woman President of these United States and will do a far better job of it than the Kenyan, Obama.

Now that Sarah has initiated her brilliant flanking manuever against the left, the DNC, and the MSM (and throw the RINOs in there for good measure)...it has them all in a frenzy wondering what her next move will be and how it will be perceived...and has them frothing at the mouth in their efforts to discredit her.

Sarah will now get her book out, go on tour, give speeches and promote conservatie principles all over this country in the midst of the Obama administration disaster and gain great political capital in the process. Then she will support conservative candidates in 2010 and help them win, amassing much more political capital. She will then take all of that and make an awesome, stunning run for the Presidency in 2012.

The reporter’s name in the article is Carl Cannon not FNC’s Cameron, who actually did a reasonably decent job as “Campaign Carl.”

HELL YEAH!! And after hearing Sarah on the radio tonight, she is counting the minutes and seconds til July 26th comes, then she is gonna be UNLEASHED. You can tell she is chomping at the bit to go after Obama and his Marxist policies. She was well aware of Rules For Radicals and of the book Thumpin. I think she has been reading these books and is well familiar with the tactics being used against her

You allowed an outright SOCIALIST with close ties to KNOWN TERRORISTS, anti-America hate groups, and racists to skip through with a wave of your hand. You couldn't be bothered to find out where Obama was really born. You didn't care that he didn't even write the book with his name on it. You didn't care that he was as sleazy as any Chicago politician and was as thick as thieves with Tony Rezko. And you don't think you had much to do with him being elected?

I enjoyed listening to that show. Ted Nugent called in to talk about gun rights and was gushing over the Guv.

The thing I felt really good about was the Alaskans calling in showing some serious love to their Governor. I know she enjoyed hearing that. One caller called her the leader of the free, the FREE world. LOL.

Did you all hear Greta tonight on her show talking to Newt Gingrich, she is still mystified about why Sarah resigned. Geez Greta, grow a brain, does Sarah have to reenact it using Sock Puppets. She resigned because she was hemorrhaging money to pay for these BS ethics complaints. If she had stayed in office for another year she wouldn’t have a penny to her name, of course Greta is still so confused as to why she would resign. Good God Greta, grow a brain, I respect Greta but as of late she is acting kinda stupid

No, more accurately you degraded your profession and in the end abandoned it to become cheerleaders.

I consider myself a journalist, and I admit my Bias up front, I don’t pretend to be something I am not. I am a conservative journalist, and proud of it. It would have been different if you all admitted your biases and owned up to them. But you didn’t, you lied about it which right there shoots your credibility to hell.

Sorry for the late echo to your post.

Nobody with any kind of brain had any doubts as to who or what 0bama was and is. Based as you say, on a remarkable and lengthy stream of evidence and all the alarming associations.

But the speed and relentlessness with which he and his regime are trashing the Constitution is even more remarkable; when it’s not downright alarming and disgusting.

What I’m saying is that I’d suspect very few imagined the Constitution to be so fragile; and that there would be people literally lined up to repudiate it.
