The Kensington Mine is located on the east side of Lynn Canal, about 45 miles northwest of downtown Juneau. It holds an estimated 1.35 million ounces of gold.

Enviros have resisted this reopening of the mine for ages, as I heard from a Juneau resident.
More power to her if she can pull this off.
Smart move. People will always take the common sense position of jobs over the religious envirotaliban.
I wish Palin was Governor of WI twelve years ago. The Greens shut down a huge copper mine in Northern WI, would have created hundreds of jobs.
