Prayers for these officers and their loved ones.

Just dang!

Reporters on the local news said that he had a dishonorable discharge from the Marines. If I'm not mistaken that would preclude him from owning firearms.

Be that as it may...there is a disturbing current going on right now. Are there more mass killings recently, just a blip/copycat or is it just being reported more "in your face"?

Very curious as to what psychiatric medications these murderers were on, if any.

Last but not least, if one believes in God then one probably believes in satan...

Well I dont think he will be needing his gun now. If he thought the President or the current administration was going to take his guns away why did he shoot the policemen or lure them into a trap it doesnt make much sense.
I do not understand what is going on with people today on the other hand I am starting to distrust much of what I hear in the media. 1984

God Bless those brave officers and the families!! But between this incident and the killings in NY and Oakland where the 4 police officers were killed.. soon the cries for gun control and the assault weapons ban will soon be heard.

Not too long ago I posted my thoughts that there was a good chance that some individuals would do such a thing as to lure SWAT into a kill zone. With images of Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzales its no wonder many have built up a hatred of a superior police force.

Making a statement to send a message, any message is all thats left to some whether they have a political or misguided personal agenda.

Taking away guns will have absolutely minimal impact, a determined person can use anything as a weapon, a bulldozer, an airplane, or just have access to a critical piece of suburban infrastructure.

America is fighting back from a thousand bee stings, we all know why, and who is to answer for it.

What is worth living for when we must be forced to live in a fascist state?

Thanks for the link. I was certain with the info available he was connected with Stormfront. I just don't understand how he passed a background check to purchase weapons.

This 23 year old monster had an incredibly troubled history. The media will twist this beyond recognition. The important issue of how he could have armed himself based on all of the existing laws will be completely buried.

These aren’t strange, unprecedented occurrences. Throughout the 20th century and now into the 21st century, mass murders and serial killings have occurred both in the US and elsewhere. Why? Who knows.

"Reporters on the local news said that he had a dishonorable discharge from the Marines."

When I first heard the report, I had heard he was a former Marine and I knew the $h itstorm that was coming the Marine Corps way. Then later on I heard he didn't make it out of boot camp so he was never a Marine, just a recruit. Unless he did something really terrible in bootcamp, he most likely got an administrative discharge which is not dishonorable. If he had gotten a dishonorable discharge, he would have spent time in the brig and not been allowed to own weapons.

“Another friend, Aaron Vire, 23, said Mr. Poplawski strongly opposed President Obama when he was running for office and that Mr. Poplawski had “very spirited debates” with Mr. Vire, who is black and and an Obama surpporter, but they remained friends.”

“Vire, 23, said Poplawski once had an Internet talk show but that it wasn’t successful. Vire said Poplawski had an AK-47 rifle and several powerful handguns, including a .357 Magnum.”
