Meriden (WTNH) - A Mexican man living in the U.S. for the past two years is being held on $2.5 million bond in connection with the brutal attack of a bartender. Jose Angel Moreno-Hernandez, 26, was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court Monday. It was not immediately known if Moreno-Hernandez was living in the U.S. legally.”
“The man, who is about 30 years old according to a witness, then forced her back into her car, and drove her to the Hamden section of East Rock Park. They exited the vehicle, walking along a pathway, police said. The man started to sexually assault her. She pleaded for her life and was beaten again. He then tried to snap her neck, stomped on her chest, and continually struck her in the head and body with a branch. She played dead and the assault ended. The man drove off in her car. She then banged on the door of a Ridge Road residence, and an occupant called 911.”

There are no stories in the Hartford Courant, the Stamford Advocate, the Norwalk Hour, the New London Day, or any other major papers in the state. Where are the cheerleaders of immigration now? Will the mayor of New Haven offer the suspect a New Haven ID Card?
This is a deliberate blackout by the cowardly newspapers of CT. If there had been an assault on an female immigrant, the news would be blasted all over the state in banner headlines.
CT Citizens for Immigration Control and the New Haven Community Watchdog Project specifically warned the Mayor and the New Haven Council that it was inevitable that there would be a murder in New Haven.. Well, now it has happened and in a way that is brutal and horrific beyond description.
Mayor DeStefano, the councilmen, the City of New Haven and Yale University Law School supported and passed the ID card. They made it clear that the objective of the New Haven ID card is to welcome illegal aliens into the city. If this person is illegal, and it seems that might be the case, they should be held personally responsible for the damage done to the victim. This raises the question of millions of dollars in law suits against the City, Yale Law School and the people involved in the ID Card.
