Reid wants created by federal fiat new "special power lines to carry renewable energy." Further, he proposes that these "special power lines" be placed where the federal government says they should be placed. He says that to do this the Federal government would "be able override states" in the placement of these power lines...

Somebody ought to tell Harry that hemp rope isn't conductive.

“special power lines to carry renewable energy.”

That wouldn’t be necessary if “renewable energy” had ANY profit potential!

Either Reid is trying to tank the economy or he's stupid or someone who understands the benefits of political chaos is pulling his brain-dead strings.

Ried:”The new Special Power Lines will carry power to millions of the poor, undocumented immigrants, minorities and women who, uh, don’t have power. The SPLs will transport a new form of power produced by giant fields of daisies to millions, no no, to ZILLIONS of homes everywhere. We eventually hope to power trains, cars, and passenger aircraft with this facinating new DaisySmile 1000 fuel.”

The Federal government would be able override states and direct where the lines would go and who would pay for them.

“special power lines to carry renewable energy.”

This is good news!.....

.....Harry wants to build special lines for new nuclear plants.

......Er, that's NOT what he means?

All kidding aside, electrons can't tell where they came from. You can't prevent coal power electrons from inadvertently entering a "Green Wire". Conversely, would they really prevent loading up the wires to capacity with "dirty power" just because it is not windy or sunny today?

Nationalization of the power grid is nothing more than a coercive power grab.

Saw a clip of this, last evening, wherein Reid actually says, straight up, that the Feds can trump the States on whatever they wish. It’s Guano like this that will foment the next revolution, and the LibTards don’t realize the impact.

Positively scary...

Time to go cling.

The more I look at these proposals, the more firmly I believe that it’s all about control.

I think it’s time the taxpayers invested in some decent constitutional courses for our elected officials, particularly the Democrats. They seem to not understand most of it. And the concept of checks and balances to them seems to be “we get to keep writing checks even though we have no balance”.

Once again, those sworn to uphold the Constitution can't seem to understand that "the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Goes right along with his straight-faced assertion that paying taxes is “voluntary”. Mayhap Mr. Alzheimer is moving into Mr. Reid’s neighborhood.

Agree completely. A better energy plan would probably be to send everyone plastic to put on their windows with a few rolls of duct tape.
