Statement from SarahPAC on Governor Palin's selection of Judge Christen
SarahPAC Facebook ^ | March 7, 2009 | SarahPAC - Bob Flint

Posted on 03/06/2009 4:07:45 PM PST by SolidWood

Gov. Palin is totally pro-life. Always has been. Always will be. She believes in a culture of life from cradle to grave. Her choice for Supreme Court judge was made in accordance with Alaska law. She chose the person most qualified from the names sent to her. The Governor's choice has a record of fairness. That is important as the courts sort out some very thorny issues. Governor Palin's choices were either a liberal or an independent. She went with the independent. And as the following article reflects - this selection process is flawed.

........................

Process of selecting Alaska's judges is clearly flawed

By Bob Flint Catholic Anchor Online

Alaska courts have a long history of removing contentious social and cultural issues from the democratic process. Court rulings have forced private hospitals to perform abortions, ordered gay marriage and benefits, required taxpayer funded abortions and interfered with parents' rights to be involved in the abortion decisions of their minor child.

These court rulings involve the creation of new and novel legal doctrines untethered to our Constitutional history, intent, or even language. The decisions of the public and their elected representatives are ignored, not to mention the rights of individuals to parent their children or perform services or charity without being forced into immoral and abhorrent practices.

The Alaska courts have consistently struck at such basic moral rights as life, family, marriage and conscience, undermining in the process the essential pillars on which society is based.

I’m not attacking Palin here, but just a warning to Freepers - don’t put all your eggs in the Palin basket. She’s just one possibility for 2012. Remember how excited everyone was for Fred Thompson, and how quickly he fizzled.

Hopefully, this will put the whole “controversy” to rest. The hardcore Palin bashers will continue to harp on it for a few more days, and then it will die, just like Ashley Judd and the wolves, per diem, travel expenses, and everything else the Soros/Axelrod/0bama axis has been throwing out there. I’m wondering what it will be next. Oh yeah, we still have the whacko who filed a federal suit over Juneteenth, but you know that’s not going to go anywhere either. I smell desparation.

” Remember how excited everyone was for Fred Thompson, and how quickly he fizzled."

Yeap, I remember. However, it seems to me like Thompson was dragged ‘kicking and screaming’ into the primaries and never really had any real intention of winning. I can’t understand how he got there in the first place.

I’m glad Governor Palin responded quickly and explained the circumstances surrounding her appointment of this judge. As I suspected: (1) the Press spun this to make her look bad, and (2) the judicial appointment system is rigged so that only the candidates the “juristocracy” wants are eligible for the position.

Untie her hands. In fact, break the grip of the “juristocracy” and of the “trial attorney monopoly” on the American legal system!

FAIL!

Christen was member of a group in the 1990's that was NOT involved in abortions. After she left, almost 10 years later this group became part of PP.

Stop with your sick, idotic LYING. It's almost beneath dignity to respond to this hateful crap.

Thompson was popular because slightly who he was and mostly because who he wasn't. He was somewhat more famous than some of the other "alternate" candidates (Paul, Hunter). He also wasn't McCain, Giuliani, Huckaebee or Romney.

Unfortunately, he could not live up to the expectations. They expected Reagan II, not Fred Thompson.

Fred Thompson is a good man. Don’t get me wrong. I supported him in the primaries. But he and Sarah had one thing in common. They entered the arena without much of a training camp. If Fred had gone through a training camp (several months of preparing for the campaign and travelling on the stump) he may have performed better. But alas, he appeared unenergetic, tired and quite frankly not as inspiring as I thought he would be. Sarah Palin faced the same obstacles—being thrust into battle without going through a training camp.

Now the difference is between Fred and Sarah is twofold: Sarah is 20 years younger than Fred and was able to withstand the grind of travelling from city to city by summoning up the necessary energy to do her job without it affecting her performance. And secondly Sarah is just more charismatic than Fred. It’s as simple as that. Sarah is a natural and a superstar. You give Sarah time to prepare to do battle (which she will have), a conservative message that is 100% her own and not dovetailed to fit into McCain’s positions, and a team around her dedicated to her election and her protection from being destroyed by Obama and the MSM you can only imagine what Sarah’s campaign will be like.

Do you really wonder why the presence of trolls on Sarah’s threads has risen appreciably in the last few days? Next to Rush Limbaugh, Sarah is in the crosshairs of the ballerina, Rahm Emanuel, Carville, and Begala and many nefarious propagandists. The MSM now have two targets to go after. Rush and Sarah, Sarah and Rush. Rush can take it. He can defend himself. But Sarah being a politician, she is more vulnerable. We must do everything in our power to beat back the forces of evil and to remain vigilant on a 24/7 basis.

Think about it—Thompson failed to gain support in the media and amongst the masses who believe the media because he lacked charisma.

Palin is just the opposite—she has proven star quality, and she’s a true conservative. This is why the liberal media are so afraid of her, and why we will continue to see them twist and contort the truth in their desperate attempts to discredit her.

By the way a new radio program dedicated to Sarah Palin will debut tonight at 11 PM EST. It is called Join Team Sarah radio and will be on blogger radio. You can access the program at www.conservatives4palin.com. To ask questions the phone number is (347)215-6125. They will discuss the judicial appointment and other things related to Sarah Palin. It is also scheduled to be broadcast next Friday as well. Enjoy!

Good grief. Anyone entertaining the notion that Governor Palin is somehow not devotedly pro-life is mentally cracked. She’s talked the talk and walked the walk. This is just another case of the newsmedia trying to sow discord around her, and drag down her support.

Glad to see SarahPAC respond so quickly to this idiocy. I sent them a donation just last week (first time I’ve ever donated to a PAC in my life).

Everyone was thinking they were going to get the Fred Thompson from the Die Hard movie. Instead, they got a tired guy who didn’t want it.

I don’t believe these would be issues with Gov Palin. And lets face it, we need a candidate who can stand on the stage and command an audience the way that Zero does. Unless you want the Obama “swatting at flies” effect like he had with McCain.

Then there’s the Palin daughter who, if her Greta interview is any indication, apparently thinks, even today, that abstinence education is for the birds, that kids like her are going to have sex no matter what. She has yet to get married even though she’s the mother of an illegitimate baby. Lots of Palin family values on display here.

Palin appoints a pro-abortion judge and people on this forum will continue to support her as a family values candidate and bash Romney who had to work with an extremely liberal legislature and probably was forced into political decisions that went against his conservative Mormon faith. What hypocrisy.

It seems to me that the Romney sons are all married, responsible adults, which suggests to me that if voters are looking for an extraordinarily well-qualified candidate whose family life reflects conservative values, they ought to look to Mitt Romney, not Palin.

Palin’s sun has set. She was a one election cycle wonder whom the press successfully portrayed as a lightweight and a joke. She can’t overcome that image any more than Dan Quayle could. She’s a candidate whose ambition exceeds her prospects and her abilities. She’s unelectable. Move on, people.

Do you see now why the MSM was allowed to land telling blow after telling blow against Sarah in the 2008 campaign and score points? There was negligible or no pushback at the time.

Sarah is not about to let that happen again. Somebody commented if the RNC was now handling Sarah do you think they would have been as timely with their pushback? No reflection on Michael Steele, but I rather doubt it.

SarahPAC is suppsoedly a means to help conservative House and Senate candidates in 2010 but I just can’t see Sarah being so altrusitic that she doesn’t make use of the funds herself as well. If she can amass a war chest of between $50m-$100 by the end of the year, Sarah will definitely in business. It will be interesting to what SarahPAC declares as its fundraising numbers in April.

‘a one election cycle wonder’

My friend nobody who has the drawing power and the charisma of a Sarah Palin will ever go away, except on her own terms.

All you have to do is watch the sports superstars in action. Any adult who has watched hundreds of hours of sports in their lifetime know superstars when they see them. First they are rare, secondly they attract unbelievable attention, and third they have the charisma or the ability to perform at a very high level, a virtuoso performance is always expected and rarely do superstars disappoint.

Sarah Palin is a superstar, however much you want to deny it. Nobody gets this much attention from fans, the MSM and her opponents if she was not perceived a threat to the established order. Fasten your seat belts, in the next few months the jet will begin to take off.

The choice between the judges was probably a case of picking Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginseberg. Palin picked Sandra Day O’Connor. In the next couple of years, AK will see where the High Court shifts. Of course Romney will claim that Palin’s lack of purity exonerates him from his liberal deeds and flip-flopping.

Please stop sending me harassing Freep-mails and calling me a liar.

Sarah Palin just proved that it is true that: “It’s all about Feminism and the glass ceiling. A little thing like working for the baby killing machine Planned Parenthood - no problem.”

Maybe you think it is okay to appoint a rabid baby killer to the state Supreme Court - but it’s not.

Palin calls herself a Feminist. It you think that is a bad thing then you have a problem with Palin, not me.

Why don’t you go commune with the baby killers over at DU. You’ll feel more comfortable there. You people will tolerate anything - the last time you got big spender open borders Bush.

Now you want a crazed Feminist to run your life. A woman who keeps her newborn under her desk at work while her underage daughter hangs out at a drug house and gets pregnant. A Feminist who wants to spend federal taxpayer money on her personal responsibilities. This would make a good Hollywood movie about dark compulsions.

Palin is a career crazed Feminist who’s only goal it to break the glass ceiling and to bring as many females (Planned Parenthood monsters even) as possible with her - just like Obama and his personal goals.
