Since Americans gave Barry Hussein Obama the rare opportunity to totally destroy the country from within by imposing ruinous socialist policies we've been given a wonderful opportunity to see what a cesspool of toxic slime Illinois and Chicago are for producing corrupt Democrats.

Roland Burris now acknowledges attempting to raise money for ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich — an explosive twist in his ever-changing story on how he landed a coveted Senate appointment from the man accused of trying to sell the seat.
Burris made the admission to reporters on Monday, after releasing an affidavit over the weekend saying he had more contact with Blagojevich aides about the Senate seat than he had described under oath to the state House panel that recommended Blagojevich's impeachment. The Democrat also said in the affidavit, but not before the panel, that the governor's brother asked him for fundraising help.
Though Burris insists he never raised money for Blagojevich while the governor was considering whom to appoint to the seat President Barack Obama vacated, the revelation that he had attempted to do so is likely to increase calls for Burris' resignation and an investigation into whether he committed perjury before the panel. Illinois Democrats have forwarded documents related to Burris' testimony to a county prosecutor for review.

Blago is gone - so miserable and corrupt and vile that even his own Democrats couldn't stand the sight of him any more. And Burris is likely going to go (although considering that Democrats refused to throw out a corrupt slimeball who kept $90,000 of bribe money in his freezer, anything's possible). So let me turn my attention on the king cockroach: Barry Hussein Obama.
Remember Joe the Plumber's, "That sounds like socialism"? And remember pro-Barry Democrats' denials of the charge by claiming rigorous technical standards for the definition of "socialism" that bordered on "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is"? And now here we are, just one month into his presidency, and Newseek is joyfully trumpeting, "We Are All Socialists Now!"
It took less than one month for Barry Hussein to show America what a giant lying sack of pork-ulus he truly is.

Barry Hussein spent 23 years in that toxic cesspool of a "church." And people like me warned this country that no one whom we were willing to call "AMERICAN" would have spent 23 minutes in there. We would have got up and left. And that's only if we didn't walk up to the pulpit to punch the preacher in the mouth before storming out of that hell-hole.
Are we supposed to be surprised that this guy would lead us into blatant socialism and lead us down the path to a radical agenda?
This man supported infanticide in Chicago. Should we be surprised that he would now push us into a form of socialized medicine that will result in killing the elderly? I hope you senior citizens who voted for Obama continue to keep mindlessly cheering his name after he denies you future health care as a form of retroactive abortion for the elderly.
As Democrats begin to talk about raising gas and diesel taxes, as they begin to talk about enacting federal sales taxes, as they talk about taxing you on how much you flush your damn toilet - all to pay for the porkulus bill that will ultimately cost taxpayers $3.27 trillion - don't say we didn't warn you. And, given the fact that you Democrats wanted to raise taxes on the "rich" so you could get a "tax break" for yourselves when most of you don't even PAY federal income taxes, you damn well deserve to pay every time you flush your crap down the toilet.
As this economy continues to sink under its own massive debt while Obama continues to try to sell the myth that the bad economy has nothing to do with profound lack of confidence in him, don't say we didn't warn you.
We voted to bring Chicago politics to America. And now we're all going to get to find out what a disaster that means.

I didn’t know how to write the title without risking insulting the many decent people living in Illinois. I have two beloved first cousins who despise Obama and all his ilk. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about people like them - and therefore like you.

Freedoms first has recently received permission to hold our protest in Washington DC. Our protest will now be held at the lincoln Memorial Reflections Pool in front of the Lincoln memorial ,on a date that will be released on feb 12 2009.
We find this very interesting because just two weeks earlier Washington told us we could no protest in DC for at least a year and a half . But the day the spendulus bill passes we get a call from Washington inviting us with a choice of dates and locations. Folks we take this as a sign that our country if starting to realise the mistake they have made with putting Obama in office.
We will have live speakers and other entertainment for you.
WE would like to see 1 million supporters attend this protest. It is time to take our country back and make our voices heard.
Why are we protesting ?
1. To get the attention of the mainstream media.
2. To demand That Obama Provide proof that he is eligible to be president.

For one thing, I LOVE your nom de plume. That’s funny!
Jews are going to see what it’s like to have Jimmy Carter running American foreign policy. And that means they can count on having a backstabbing pandering weakling “protecting” them from Iran and the other terrorist Muslim countries.
Ultimately, GOD HIMSELF will protect Israel. But that doesn’t mean that a lot of innocent Jews won’t suffer as a result of this president.
I’ve read that many liberal Jews don’t care a damn about the state of Israel. That is so pathetic, it makes me despise liberalism even more than I already would have.
I have utterly no answer for you. If there is thought behind the action, it only goes so far, and not very far at that. If it is emotion, same story. Perhaps it is here that Jews can be accurately accused of being cheapskates as they are often crassly portrayed. The thinking, the logic only goes so far, only to be forever overwhelmed by sheer force of (as you say) a habit that should have been discarded 50+ years ago.

I completely agree about liberal Jews turning against Israel. It certainly begs the question of what the ultimate aim of mindless self-loathing is supposed to be.
I’ll dovetail on ASD’s comment:
I think - to the extent it’s actually true - that Jews are “cheap” for the same reason my grandparents and oldest uncles are “cheap”: they survived terrible times (the Great Depression; the persecutions as Jews).
There’s a mix there: some (not all) of my oldest family members are Democrats - though conservative in their beliefs - because “FDR helped people.” Of course he actually HURT them by prolonging the depression with his idiot policies (by seven years, economists now claim). But that’s beside the point.
Unfortunately, probably due to their suffering, Jews are one of the most atheistic people on earth. And that is no mentality to have a healthy attitude on ethics, on politics, or on anything. And I think it’s that atheism that drives a lot of Jewish liberalism.

The Jews are the people of God, who brought us the Bible and monotheism and objective morality. THAT’S why the Nazis hated the Jews so.
And, sadly, when the Jews turn on God, on the Bible, and on morality that were revealed to them from God by Moses and the prophets, I think there is an abandonment or betrayal of their essence as a people (and hence the real possibility of self loathing).
From my point of view, it doesn’t matter what modern Jews think; they are STILL the people whom God chose for His people to bear His message.
And God remembers. He won’t forget the Jews. He will protect them even in spite of themselves.
I don’t think it ever had anything to do with money. It had to do with a sort of a country club mentality common to pubbies circa 1930 and a system which kept Jews out of things and/or limited their access to them. All of that is gone with the wind. The present democrat party has nothing to offer Jews which I know of.
Similar memories of the past hold many German Catholic voters in eastern Iowa and Italian and Slavic Catholic voters in western Pennsylvania in the Democrat ranks, even though the Democrats are wrong on the social issues from a truly Catholic standpoint. The same could be said of many Scandinavian Lutheran voters in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The most ironic situation involves African-American voters, who are monolithicly Democrat, even more so than the Jews. The old segregation system, including the lack of protection against lynchings, occurred in the solidly Democratic South and heavily Democratic border states like Maryland and Missouri.
Some of this is folklore, but academia and the entertainment media have created or at least exaggerated resentment of past wrongs. Irish-American scholars and writers whine far more about the Potato Famine now than had been the case when it actually happened or in the subsequent generation. Holocaust museums, while they do impart valuable historic information, impart a fear of intolerance, which is usually and wrongly associated with the Right. (The Nazis were leftists, but that is another topic.) Slavery ended 143 years ago, and the last vestiges of legal segregation were abolished by Congress and the Supreme Court 40 years ago, but too many blacks blame the ghosts of the past as a reason for their lack of success in life.
It may take the utter failure of the Keynesian, neo-New Deal policies of the current administration to wake people out of holding onto their ancestral grudges, real or imagined.
Yes, I think the country-club exclusion is definitely an element, one that Americanizes the common-cause thing Jews have with Blacks. One that is vigorously unreflected.
The “cheapskate” thing I mentioned wasn’t about money; it is about an unwillingness to expend non-dogmatic thought outside of sheer reaction.
