Obama's mysterious trip home -- what was that all about? (Fitzie ?)
Illinois Review ^ | 2-16-09

Posted on 02/16/2009 7:55:43 AM PST by STARWISE

Okay, so the President and his family came home to Chicago this weekend to get a haircut, play basketball with friends and take his wife to Valentine's Day dinner at Gold Coast's Table 52.

This is what we're to believe the President has time to focus on, as Iran develops world peace-threatening nuclear weapons, Illinois-based soldiers die in Iraq and Afghanistan, the American economy teeters on the edge of falling into bottomless catastrophe?

Amazing timing, don't you think? The very day that Roland Burris admits he didn't really tell the Illinois House impeachment committee, "the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth"... and we're not supposed to connect any dots here?

Would it be possible that this trip home was at the behest of U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and the FBI wanting to have, perhaps, an "on-the-record" conversation with the President himself about Blagojevich and the U.S. Senate seat?

Is there a White House press corps questioner willing to ask? Maybe before he gets back on Air Force One at 10:00 am this am?

Look, if the Dems start saying we're just too paranoid, our response wil be from now on, thanks to Roland Burris, if it's our fault for not asking the right questions that we don't get "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" we're going to start asking ALL the questions that occur to us.

Blago subpoenas include Obama aides

###

It appears that Barack Obama won’t escape the Rod Blagojevich scandal as easily as first thought. Two senior aides to Obama have been served with federal subpoenas, calling into question how closely the Obama transition team may have been tied to Blagojevich’s attempts to sell Obama’s vacated Senate seat:

Sweeping federal subpoenas of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s administration include requests for records involving David Axelrod and Valerie Jarrett, senior advisers to President Barack Obama.

Among 43 subpoenas released by the Blagojevich administration Friday, one from Dec. 8 seeks notes, calendars, correspondence and any other data that relate to Axelrod, Jarrett and 32 other people and organizations.

That was the day before the FBI arrested Blagojevich, a two-term Democrat, on charges that he tried to trade his appointment to replace Obama in the Senate for campaign contributions.

Wiretapped conversations show Blagojevich thought Jarrett was interested in the seat and he wanted campaign money or a high-paying job in return, according to a sworn statement.

Obama’s staff released a report in December that said his staff had no inappropriate contact with the governor’s office about the Senate seat, nor was anyone aware of any dealmaking. Axelrod, a Chicago political strategist now in the White House, was not mentioned in the report.

Blago-Rahma followers will recall that the Obama transition team reportedly wanted Jarrett to get the seat.

If they pushed Jarrett, two people would have been most likely to act go-between. Rahm Emanuel was the early favorite for that job, but David Axelrod would have been better placed to work between all of the different factions.

Of course, this new revelation opens a new question. Why did the internal report from the Obama team not mention Axelrod when they cleared themselves of all complicity in the scandal?

It seems like a strange oversight in retrospect. Perhaps the feds thought the same thing.

Right.

This porkulus bill was hurry, hurry, rush, rush .. and now
he’s nonchalantly putting off the signing until tomorrow?

What hypocrisy and forked tongue.

Was all this pressure, with no time for the pols to even read and digest the trashpile, really JUST for Queen Nancy’s trip to Europe?

McCain may have had that certain 'something' that convinced Arizona voters to elect him to the House and then the Senate, but as a national campaigner he isn't very good. All that fuss from McCain & the Media about how Bush did him wrong in South Carolina in the 2000 primaries just proves to me the McCain isn't willing to do the kinds of things necessary to win elections at that level. When he finally got the Republican nomination in 2008, it was pretty much handed to him (like he wanted). Then McCain goes out & lays down for Obama. It was all so predictable if you looked back at McCains past performance.

I think the thing that stands out to me the most is that, barely a week after the Prez goes to some elementary school to read stories to the kids because he’s “tired of the White House”, he now takes a vacation.

Did he not consider the consequences of actually winning the election? Being President is not a low-stress job, and does not have “banker’s hours”.

That's exactly what he did. And you're probably right about the reasons.

Of course, it didn't help that McCain had ZERO PRINCIPLES himself, unless you count the "principle" of "reaching across the aisle" to Those Who Have No Principles.

I remember the few times (precious few) that McCain actually took a stand against OZero, political hacks like David Brooks said “that’s not the McCain I knew”.

Yeah. The McCain you knew is the demo butt-boy of the “republican” party and when once or twice he refuses to take it in the butt, it’s not the McCain “they knew”.

Thank you.

For my taste buds, I find the menu a tad strange...:

“Look for faves like fried chicken and waffles and pan-seared catfish, plus seasonally-minded entrees, wood-fired pizzas and sides such as braised collard greens.”

It sounds like a train wreck inside one’s mouth.

I suppose they didn’t pay for it, so what the hey. The Obamas gave the restaurant free advertisement, and I bet the Obamas got a free meal.

What a classy couple.

I seem to recall two weekends past he went to Camp David; last week travelled to two states; this past weekend went home and will be in Denver on Tuesday -- all within the first month of his Presidency and doesn't bat an eye at the cost to taxpayers he claims to care so much about.

I should think the usual thing would be for Fitz, or a messenger, to visit the President in the White House, not to summon the President to a meeting. Also, I’m afraid, I think Fitz is a Democrat tool. He went after Blago because Daley gave him the go-ahead. But he certainly won’t bother Barry.

If you look at what little of the record we’va actually got, this seems like typical Obama to me. He has never done an honest day’s work in his life. He voted “present” more often than anyone else. He was chair of an important subcommittee in the Senate and never even held a token meeting where the members could vote “present.”

He was president of the Harvard Law Review, but unlike his predecessors never wrote anything for it. Possibly ONE anonymous article—and possibly not.

He taught at U Ill in Chicago for ten years but never wrote a single scholarly article, the basic requirement for the profession.

He couldn’t be bothered to go to his grandmother’s funeral—the woman who brought him up.

He let Nancy write the Porculus Bill and probably never bothered to read any of it.

What, stick around the White House and WORK? Are you kidding? He’s never done that in his life.

Obama, who had no conversations with Blagojevich or anybody associated with him about the seat, was interviewed in his downtown transition office by two assistant U.S. attorneys and two FBI agents, the Obama aide said.

Did Obama go to Chucky Cheezes?

The Illinois investigation is leading straight to the WHite House, and Obama wants it to stay in Illinois.

" Whay happens in Chicago, Stays in Chicago." is the likely pronouncement of our pretend president.

Well We will see how long that lasts.

Maybe Obama will sacrifice "Ram Manual" and them appoint someone who has better "bipartisan" skills.

Galivanting Obama is pursuing a presidential campaign that never ends. Its to maintain the Hope and Change propaganda. Meanwhile back in Washington, his running dogs do the nasty work far from the view of the adulous MSM press. The continuing campaign is to forece acceptance of his agenda on the 48% of American voters who did not vote for him, he wants that portion of the electorate "cowed": 1) defames Rush limbaugh 2) gun control rumblings from BJ Clinton 3) Fairness doctrine from House Rep. Hinchey and wag poofter Jerry brown. 4) Whacks the oil companies with no drilling off shore until "reviewed" 5) Defames bank executives and limits their pay ( not really, they can still be paid with stock). 4) Shuts all Republicans out of the House Senate Conference on the Porkulus Bill ( so no one knows whats in it.)

5) Unilaterally moves the census to the presidential direct executive function in order to reorganize voting districts, ACORN style. etc. The message is quite clear: "You get in the way and we will destroy you." Well at least Rush Limbaugh is not backing down. Thats what this campaign is about, to cow the America which refuses Obamas nationalist socialist policies. Obama is still campaigning. The propaganda flow continues while disasterous decisions are made in Washington. And so far the epublicans are sporadically reactive, rather than understanding the Obama strategy. republicans should be revealinig the signs of the socialization of America, and discussing that in public, regardless of what Obama is doing, or where he is campaigning this week.

Oh, yes. He was interviewed, and he is involved in this stuff up to his neck. But I still have my doubts whether Fitz would touch him. I think the whole prosecution was carefully designed to nail only the sacrificial goats.

It’s certainly possible that Obama will talk with Fitz in Chicago, which would be less noticeable than if Fitz visited the White House, but if they do it will probably be to discuss how the Blago trial should best be handled to avoid trouble for Obama and his pals. Or, who knows, Obama might even throw him a sacrificial goat.

OK, suppose you're a bad guy with some level of technical sophistication at your disposal, and you see this pic of Obama on his crackberry.

How many ways can you think of to use it to your advantage? There are probably a whole lot of different ways one might exploit this habit, with varying levels of nefarious intent.

I expect it won't be too long before the Secret Service (or an intel agency) gives him a sobering demonstration of what's possible -- and we won't see Obama on his crackberry -- at least not in public -- anymore.

Another explanation... Hey, I just report this stuff.

from Central Command at http://commando.me/moon_in_the_seventh_house.htm

At dawn on 14th February the Cosmos actually embodies this perfect alignment to support our collective manifestation of love and peace and the dawning of the Age of Aquarius. The Feb 14th date is the beginning as the planets move to align. But the more precise calculations are for February 17th.

Why not? They are moonbats

Been there, and saw that..twice, two different companies and theatersm in Chicago no less. The first was the original Broadway company. Nice music, uninspiring nudity, with a nice anti military theme thrown in for good measure. The was in the early '70s some time.
