In appreciation for your efforts I am sending you my autobiography, entitled, “ALL ABOUT ME!”
And no fair skipping to page 1500 just to get the middle of the book!
Enjoy it!
BTW, spoiled Gen-X-ers are doing their part to mess things up, too. Some of the younger, post-feminist ones will try to fix it.
I see. Another spoiled kid, with internet access, and a grudge.
I’d LOVE to welcome you to FR....however.
I'm one and I must admit many are a sorry lot.
You have the idiots like Mike Moore and the geniuses like Rush Limbaugh.
You have cowards like Bill Clinton and heroes like Olly North.
You have miserable mendacious misanthropes like ALgore and clever productive contributors like Steve Forbes.
Yes many BBs are sorry and have and are a danger to the American Way—but only on the Left.
7/29/46 here, and a Reagan Conservative from the first, and maybe even a more conservative than Reagan. I didn’t have time, or desire, to march against the war in the sixties. I was taking care of a family. My Daddy, a Greatest Gen’er, was a WWII combat veteran and taught me to behave my sorry self. My son is a Gen.X’er. - We all would have been lots better off if we’d had to plant, plow, and harvest like my Daddy & Momma did if we wanted to eat.- A growling tummy is the best teacher and having to GIT what we eat, if we want to eat, leaves little time for being an ass.
I agree fully.
I find it interesting that my step-father, who served in the US Army in Europe during WWII, gets rankled when he hears that he’s from the “greatest generation.” He feels like his generation is the one that screwed everything up. All of the new government taxes that they allowed to happen “just for the duration of the war”, they allowd to stay and fester into the monstrosity of a government that we have today. And they’re the ones who allowed their children to become hippies and peacenicks in the 60’s.
So? Fix it then! Youse guys & gals are so smart...FIX it!
And..have a Happy New Year’s! (I mean it...)
To Mr. C. Rich:
You have made a ridiculous blanket allegation and classification of many hard-working Americans like myself who happen to have been born in a particular year group.
Don’t lump me in with failures of this group or any other classification of any sort.
What are your thoughts on other classes or groups of people? Are those of Irish heredity all drunks? Are all those of Italian heredity Mafioso? How about the Jews? Blacks or Hispanics. How would you classify them? Hmmm?
I dragged myself out of a Boston Housing Project, paid off my college loans, earned a Commission in the US Marine Corps (serving 20 years and in a foreign war) and retired from yet another job in order to pay for my two sons educations. Both of my sons are PRODUCTIVE and SELF-SUSTAINING members of society and this nation.
How dare you. Do you even know what years of birth include “The Baby Boomers?” 1946 - 1964 ... yeah that’s right. And ah, Mr. Obama was born in...? 1961. The party’s not over yet pal.
By the way, get a life!
feels kind of weird saying “i agree” to the title of a post, when the poster is brand new.
LOL, ok,
“........I happen to be one of the first boomers.......11-45. You paint with a pretty broad brush there, bozo.”
Being a generation ahead of you my opinion of boomers is human garbage!
Whatsa matter little boy, did you baby boomer parents spend your inheritance? LOL
but I think the people who came after the boomers get some credit, too.
Happy,
Well said.. you added to my post. Thanks.
But who are the real culprits? The agitprops were the older generations, just a small segment of the 'Greatest Generation' who infested the universities and the fedgov and flamed the fires of rebellion against everything American, everything moral.
Boomers became bitter during the dot com bust. They felt they had been had by GenXers. Many ended up with retirements wiped out, but still had their homes. So they orchestrated the latest easy credit / housing ponzi scheme to fleece GenX right back. Pump lots of money into the system, and housing prices caught fire. They were then able to offload their homes to the next generation at bloated prices and their retirements are now a lot more cushy. Plus to turn the knife in Gen X, they are now going to bankrupt social security. Hell, even millionaire and billionaire boomers will claim SS each month just so they can stick it to Gen X.
sniff
As a boomer, a conservative boomer, I can honestly state as a whole the Baby Boomers were the WORST generation in American History. But remember not all Boomers were bad. Quite a few of them gave up their lives in SE Asia. Many of us served the nation under the most inep, incompetent and seditious administrations in history. Even so, we maintained freedom in the USA and the West.
