7 supposedly runs fast and light, even on old hardware (Plll). As long as it's multiple CPUs with 16GB of RAM.

7 supposedly runs fast and light, even on old hardware (Plll) The latest, fastest Intel architecture (Core i7) is basically a bunch of reworked Pentium III cores stuck together in a very fast arrangement. Maybe that's what they meant.

Will it increase speed, compatability, manageability, security, and connectability? Or will it be a hulking overstuffed lumbering piece of digital doggie doo?I'm going with "Hulking overstuffed lumbering piece of digital doggie doo" for $100, Alex.
Who thinks up these seemingly bizarre non sequiturs, then decides on Windows Digit?
Well, now there's one I do know the answer to. Everytime Redmond comes out with a new OS, I fight the urge to show them a digit or two.

45 minutes into a Windows Vista thread and the Microsoft Vendors haven't yet shown up with the obligatory Windows Vista is really wonderful, you all are just too stupid to realize it post. They really have shut up in comparison to the beginning of the year, haven't they? I think they just didn't want to admit that they made a rather expensive mistake by buying Vista and were trying to convince themselves that all the Vista complaints on the forums, the columns in the magazines, the disappointing sales figures, the demands by vendors to continue selling XP, the sudden manufacturer price drops and the expedited Windows 7 schedule didn't mean that they were wrong, it was just an anti-MS conspiracy.
