010So the great Vista Do Over of 2009 is upon us. Will it increase speed, compatability, manageability, security, and connectability? Or will it be a hulking overstuffed lumbering piece of digital doggie doo?
And how many versions will there be? One-Step-Above-DOS Useless, Basic, Home, Business, Premium, Ultimate, Triple No-Backsies Ultimate, Oh My Heavenly Lord This Thing Weighs a Ton Drop-Dead Conclusive?
And will I have to click on something to give administrator-privilege permission just to shrink a browser window?
And why was it formerly known as Blackcomb and Vienna? Who thinks up these seemingly bizarre non sequiturs, then decides on Windows Digit?
All in due course
all in due course
As long as it's multiple CPUs with 16GB of RAM.
Highly recommend Linux Mint....
The latest, fastest Intel architecture (Core i7) is basically a bunch of reworked Pentium III cores stuck together in a very fast arrangement. Maybe that's what they meant.
I'm going with "Hulking overstuffed lumbering piece of digital doggie doo" for $100, Alex.
Who thinks up these seemingly bizarre non sequiturs, then decides on Windows Digit?
Well, now there's one I do know the answer to. Everytime Redmond comes out with a new OS, I fight the urge to show them a digit or two.
They really have shut up in comparison to the beginning of the year, haven't they? I think they just didn't want to admit that they made a rather expensive mistake by buying Vista and were trying to convince themselves that all the Vista complaints on the forums, the columns in the magazines, the disappointing sales figures, the demands by vendors to continue selling XP, the sudden manufacturer price drops and the expedited Windows 7 schedule didn't mean that they were wrong, it was just an anti-MS conspiracy.
