Ammo Registration Currently Under Review By 18 States

From CavMom comes this disturbing email:

This is frightening - they want my ammo they will get it one damn round at a time!!!

We are under assault from all sides. Ammo registration.

Ammo Confiscation (Many Americans are scared-to-death at what’s coming….)

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer in a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held un-coded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011.(Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states:

Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm

[I see that Missouri is included on that list... Time to fire off some letters of protest!]

It’s time to use some of that ammo.

Don’t forget that they may try making ammo with primers that go bad after a year, rendering all stockpiles of ammo DUDS 12 months after they prohibit any more sales!

They’ve been going after ammo for a while. From the lead pollution in gun ranges to markers in the powder to identify the lot # of the cartridge.

They don’t have any contact info or street address. Time to dig.

We take our weapons [unloaded] in one hand, ammo in the other and we go have a picnic on the statehouse lawn;

A couple of thousand armed people in every state on their lawn will get their attention.

So when they come to take your ammo you give it to them. What's the problem?

Every major ammo supplier in the country is “out of stock” on almost everything, including most reloading components. The question is: are the people going to take this “toss of the gauntlet” sitting down & surrendering like the Germans, Brits and Austrailians did or will they rise up to fight it...
Interesting times are ahead.

No real useful info from whois.

Wonder if this is the part of the call to arms Dear Leader gave to his web minions.

The 2nd amendment dosen't say a thing about ammo. At the slightest sign of trouble , ammo sales will be terminated/banned.

BLOAT

This is not new at all. Barack Obama has voiced support of taxes of up to 100% on all ammunition and firearms. This issue popped up a number of times during the campaign but was ignored by the msm.

Such a thing is long overdue. But be warned, the politicians will cry foul and send in the police who will start shooting first and the media will make it look like the citizens started shooting first. You can't march on the statehouse unless you are willing to go to war, because that may well happen.

This idiot has all sorts of new ideas about taxes. Meanwhile the Chinese continue to build their economy and slash interest rates.

Obama sounds like he’s excited to start doing all the fun things that the press and Hollywood has been wanting to do forever.

Let me save you some trouble: It's George Soros behind this.

Hmmmm, I think its the guys pushing this who have a patent on the bar codeing of ammo. Just a hunch, but this is linked from their site:

"Well, this is a new one. Ammo instead of guns."

Actually no. It's not new. It was required here in my State nearly 40 years ago. The program was quickly dumped because of the excessive paperwork for shop keepers, ammo producers, and cops alike...with no impact on the overall crime rate. The concept of registry taggants for ammo has also been floated before. The technology doesn't exist. What's been tried before results in unacceptable contaminants in the ammo to the extent that previous trial balloons revealed it would be easier just to require ammo manufacturers to simply fill half the casing with water. I, however, wouldn't put it past them to require just that.
