FNC Censors Itself Ahead Of Obama Presidency
Confirming the worst fears of millions of dedicated fans, the Fox News Channel really has gone soft on Obama. That's at a time when viewers are counting on it to remain a key opposition voice during a disturbing political shift away from freedom and prosperity.
According to columnists Rush & Malloy of the New York Daily News, Fox has issued a chilling edict to its hosts that they must cease criticism of Obama for the near future:
Fox News boss Roger Ailes doesn't want to spoil Barack Obama's political honeymoon, we hear. A source says Ailes has told prime-time hosts Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren to lay off the President-elect - at least for a while. "We're not going to have any personal attacks on Obama," a network insider says. "The public has spoken - we must treat him with respect."
This confirms an almost-identical account your Radio Equalizer was given Wednesday evening from a key source. That person contends the order came from the top: Rupert Murdoch himself.
"Personal attacks", by the way, can be construed to mean any criticism of Barack Obama whatsoever.
The reason? News Corporation is bracing for potentially-vindictive actions by Obama's incoming thugocracy, especially regarding dual station / newspaper ownership rules and apparently seeks to placate the Dear Leader, hoping he will be merciful.
Unfortunately, this is a great way to send FNC's audience running for the hills, with evening talk radio as the likely beneficiary. Meanwhile, the left will still hate Fox.
Did MSNBC lay off of Bush during his time in office? Of course not. Then why should FOX sacrifice its entire audience out of fear of Obama's thugs?
Obama will be in hot water soon enough and it will be interesting to see who will be the first to start to tell the truth once again.
A toothless fox....now there’s a visual I don’t need.

OTOH, FOX gave BOR & Cameron the green light to pass on unsubstatniated rumors about Palin. Not only pass them on, but jump for joy that they could be part of knifing her.
“The public has spoken - we must treat him with respect.”
Just like we respected Pres. Bush.
Greta says “not true”, although she is certainly not an Obama basher (or basher of anyone, from what I can tell).
We’ll know for sure if Hannity changes course!

THIS IS NOT TRUE
by Greta Van Susteren
THIS IS NOT TRUE- TV NEWSWER NEVER CHECKED WITH ME AND THE DAILY NEWS IS MAKING THIS UP !!
I just copied the below from tvnewser.com. THIS IS A BIG FAT LIE.
No one has ever told me to do or not do something at Fox or how to do something I use my own judgment for my work and I show respect to politicians - win or lose. No one needs to tell me to be respectful - I am respectful (although I am also unafraid to call someone out on something.) I will continue to show respect.
Incidentally, neither President Elect Obama campaign nor Senator McCain campaign ever complained to me that I got it wrong or was unfair and we made calls daily to both campaigns I work very hard to be fair to both sides and I give equal opportunity to both sides and give the same type interviews to both sides I will continue to do my work as I always have without influence from anyone .and with exercise of my best judgment
.as an aside, I have not seen or spoken to Roger in 6 months!
(I work in DC and when I am in NYC I am running around getting ready for ON THE RECORD the only time I see Roger is when I schedule a lunch or a dinner with him and I have not done that in at least 6 months .this reminds me, however, that it is time for me to schedule a lunch with Roger because from time to time we like to catch up with each other.)

Did that with FNC in April ‘06. About time people caught up.
No more O'Really, no more Hannity & Marx, no more Specious Report with Brit Hume.
We'll give Glenn Beck a chance when he comes over but that will be it.
Truth is, cutting back on watching the news has actually made life more enjoyable. KnowwhatImean. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
I haven’t watched Fox News since Red Tuesday (red because of communism).
The last thing that Fox needs is to sound like the whiners from 2000 who still complain that Gore really won and Bush “stole” the election. If Ailes gave any sort of order like this (which I doubt) it is merely a matter of maturity.
I sincerely hope that the ‘right’ recognizes that setting the right example of being the loyal opposition will draw extraordinarily sharp contrast against the left’s approach which can only be called the dis-loyal opposition.
Unfortunately I am afraid there are too many on the right who have bought the liberal lie that Fox News is biased and sold out to the right. That is not true, nor should that be true, regardless of what ideologues on both sides would prefer.
They must become sycophants (tow the new line) to stay on the air.
Even more now?
How low can they go??
The funny thing is even while they go soft on Hussein, they will be denied access and won’t be called on for questions during press conferences.
I watched Huckabee have his ‘tingly leg moment’ about Obamanation last night on his show....
Already started -- Fox was locked out when it tried to ask a question at the One's first news conference.
Well that might be worrying if I actually watched FOX a lot but I don’t. It is still worrying though they are afraid of Obama thugs.
What will happen to things like FR?
The rest of the MSM rode Bush from before his first election till now.
I had that in mind with my comment. He called on all of the traditional MSM, and ignored FNC. Hussein hates Fox News, and expect them to be treated accordingly.
Where was the respect for BUSH from msnbc, nbc, abc, cnn, cbs, nyts,wp, newsweek, time, etc after BUSH won both elections???????
Let the Games Begin.
Anybody see Shepard practically crying because Ralph Nader was wondering if Obama would turn out to be an “Uncle Tom?” He was being as PC as the most ardent Leftist.
Fox News is not representative of conservative thinking. They’re sort of a country club Republican news network.
