Isn't it Ironic?

It is a well known fact that Obama gained his claim to fame by challenging the legitimacy of voter signatures on the petitions of his one time political mentor, Alice Palmer. At the time he declared that his actions were legitimate and perfectly legal. So he used the tactic to knock out his opponents one by one until the people of Illinois had no other choice than to vote for him. Here is a refresher course.

Obama played hardball in first Chicago campaign

In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago's gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.

As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to invalidate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.

The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.

And yet today with widespread fraud on the part of the organization ACORN that Obama himself once trained and gave $800,000 to help get out the vote (for him), he is now challenging anyone else's right to challenge them and him.

And just how bad is the fraud?

Group’s Tally of New Voters Was Vastly Overstated

In registration drives, it is common for a percentage of newly registered voters to be disqualified for various reasons, although experts say the percentage is higher when groups pay workers to gather registrations. But the disclosure on Thursday that 30 percent of Acorn’s registrations were faulty was described by Republicans as further proof of what they said was Acorn’s effort to tilt the election unfairly.

Hmmm... 30% of the registrations are fraudulent. That is certainly enough to sway an election, especially in key swing states where they have been concentrating their efforts.

So how is the Obama campaign responding to this latest fact? Are they calling for the registrations to be thrown out in fairness to a free election? Is Obama demanding the same type of scrutiny be given to these illegitimate registrations as he did when it helped to get him elected?

I'm sure you know the answers. So pardon the rhetoric. What they are actually doing is attempt to deflect our attention from the situation by coming up with a nefarious plot on the part of Republicans who only want him held to the same standard that he once described as legitimate. But that's Obama. The rules only apply to him. And when it looks like something might not go his way, under the bus it goes.

What goes around, comes around?

Be not deceived, God will not be mocked, for whatsoever a man sows that also shall he reap?

Sow to the wind, reap to the whirlwind?
