Dirty politics from Camp Obama
Spectator Blogs ^ | September 25, 2008 | Melanie Phillips

Posted on 09/25/2008 10:27:04 AM PDT by Schnucki

Earlier this week, I wrote about the dirty tricks campaign against journalist Amir Taheri following his revelation that, in a private meeting in Iraq last July with Iraqi leaders, Barack Obama tried to persuade them to delay the agreement being hammered out with the US government on a draw-down of the American military presence. According to this account, which quoted Iraq’s foreign minister Hoshya Zebari (pictured), Obama had thus privately sought to undermine an American government foreign policy initiative – an explosive revelation. Taheri subsequently dismissed as tendentious Camp Obama’s response which he said deliberately confused two separate agreements under discussion; and he also revealed that, following publication of his story in the New York Post, he had been subjected to death threats, menacing calls about his tax status and passport, and a cyber-attack which disabled two of his email accounts.

Then Camp Obama tried another tactic. It told Jake Tapper of ABC News that Obama’s July meeting in Iraq

was also attended by Bush administration officials, such as U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker and the Baghdad embassy’s legislative affairs advisor Rich Haughton, as well as a Republican senator, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska.

Those who attended this meeting said Taheri’s story was

absolutely untrue

*snip*

Tapper’s story – and Camp Obama’s response quoting all those people who were reportedly also present – refers to an entirely different meeting.

What a great story. Obama was secretly and illegally undermining negotiations with Iraq while he was publicly calling for an expedited withdrawal of troops.

My daughter, who works in the management office for a MAJOR recording artist, was instructed to send out a letter on behalf of this famous recording star. The letter claimed Sarah Palin refused to allow her daughter Bristol to use birth control and is now forcing Bristol to give birth to an unwanted baby. My daughter called to ask me how to handle this. She can't afford to lose her job. I told her to refuse to do it on the grounds that it was "Too mean."

As part of operation chaos I signed up for a free Obama bumper sticker and so the Obama people are contacting me to volunteer. These are VERY mean people. They have an angry bossy tone. Obama supporters are angry, hostile people.

Most of them are from the "ENTITLEMENT CULTURE" - they're entitled to a portion of your income, and they're entitled to act and do as they please. Don't expect any cordiality from that bunch!

I don't, but I was surprised at the hostile tone used on me this morning by someone asking if I could "go to school". They have these training camps going on right now and I can't believe anyone would participate considering the demanding rude approach of the person who called me this morning.

What about the grounds that it's untrue? She needs to learn to make a stand based on conviction and truth not because it was too mean. She's indicating that it would be OK if it was a little less mean which probably isn't true. So she's in essence using a lie to prevent another lie?

Because then she would be arguing with her employer and that is a no-win situation. Frankly I think it is good to have some folks behind enemy lines.

he also revealed that, following publication of his story in the New York Post, he had been subjected to death threats, menacing calls about his tax status and passport, and a cyber-attack which disabled two of his email accounts.

This goes beyond "dirty tricks."

Death threats, harrassment calls and cyber attack are illegal actions.

Typical Brownshirt reaction...oh, can I say that or is that racist ?

Indoctrination -- probably along the lines of the camps run by Kim Jung Il. Maybe if you're really good, the 0bama will have an audience with you in his styrofoam temple and give you some of his fake Presidential coins.

That is no joke. This female rottweiler definitely had the right demeanor to work at a concentration camp.

I’d get on the phone with an organizer, waste their time and see if I could get them to blow a gasket revving them above the red line.

Michelle’s Boot Camps For Radicals

By INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Thursday, September 04, 2008 4:20 PM PT

Election ‘08: Democrats’ reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was supposed to show her softer side. But it only highlighted a radical part of her resume: Public Allies.

That is what I am doing; wasting their time. I am still actively engaging in Operation Chaos.

"If you commit to serving your community," he pledged in his Denver acceptance speech, "we will make sure you can afford a college education."

It worked for Barak.

I agree with another post that it is a "no win" situation with the employer.

The best tact I can think of in this situation is to appear to wholeheartedly endorse the idea but "in the interest of the truth" and to really hammer Palin, the email should include the sources of the information or else the "undecideds" may find it unbelievable.

This strategy would protect your daughter with the appearance of cooperation.

Her brother suggested an old play where you agree so wholeheartedly you go over the top. Something like, "How about if we get to Bristol and help her get a late stage abortion?" Start scaring the employer with over-the-top enthusiasm.

Part of the problem I left out is that her boss knows her political views and her views on abortion and that is why we thought the boss was just being cruel assigning this task to get a rise out of her.

I agree - mention that she ( your daughter )should say that everyone consults Snopes nowadays and that the recording star should be careful what with the Secret Service investigating the break-in to Sarah Palins E-mail. Also have her mention that the star could be fined for a breach of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act 2002 as this might be considered as a "donation in kind". ( Highly unlikely but good for a smoke screen)
