Just how bad is Sarah Palins candidacy for vice-president?
Its like a really bad Disney movie.
Ive replayed Matt Damons Disney comment a dozen times and Im still laughing. It comes at about 40 seconds into the video clip.
Looney Tunes meets looney libs.
It's great, the more normal Americans who see and hear these attacks, the more they are drawn to Sarah's side.
She is shaking the Democratic leftist-liberal house to its foundation, and bringing it down. She and her family, their faith, their values, and their story represent the absolute refutation of all the tired old liberal mantras and victimology that they malignantly use to mentally, pshycologically, and financially enslave whole classes of people.
From women's rights, to family values, to gun rights, to abortion, to energy policy, to taxation, to envrionmentalism, and on and on...she is a wrecking ball to the leftist, liberal, socialist house.
The thought processes of someone who makes a living from pretending to be someone else.
some of the pro-conservative comments:
—when I brought up that the donkeys nominated another loser,
“frank” says: “Its the dems own fault. Every year they nominate a wacko leftist, try to sell him as a moderate and by Labor Day the makeup is coming off the candidate and his Ch Guevara roots are showing
we did it with Dukakis, Gore and Kerry
.what is left for the voter to do
.Obama is tissue paper thin when it comes to experience as is Palin, but hes at the top of the team and she is at the bottom
.America deserves better
”
—”rich” says:
“Doesnt all this liberal ranting expose the Lefts hypocrisy and ignorance?
(snip)
“6. Palin, a mayor and governor is unqualified but a street activist from Chicago is qualified. His time in the state senate is noted for voting present and his short time in the U.S. Senate has been spent running for president. Hypocrites. Cartoon Brew is much better at commenting on animation because your political views are Looney Tunes.”
and “jason” says:
“Well, Elan, thats the liberal mind-set: to diss the intellect and morals of anyone who disagrees with you. I guess thats why liberal blogs are by and large full of smears, character assassinations and some of the foulest language this side of a fratboy locker room. The same people who embrace the idea of progressiveness (without, apparently, actually grasping it) and believe they champion womens rights are subjecting Ms. Palin to language and characterization they dont reserve for terrorists and child pornographers (these are also the same people who boost the star-ratings at Yahoo whenever a piece about violence in Iraq is posted. Yayy! More bloodshed! More innocent victims! More votes for Obama!) Is it any wonder why the country responded so enthusiastically to McCains choice of Palin? By doing so, McCain proved he deserves his maverick reputation and is in fact the REAL force for change, and Palin says the things many Americans have been aching to hear. Instead of the defeatist guilt-tripping mantra Obama has been spewing, we hear the words of a man who has actually taken political risks (the choice of Palin is just one of many) and has lived the principles he champions. How can a shallow man like Obama and a mere politician like Biden compete with that?”
There was talk on the Howie Carr show that “well maybe they think she’s a fundamentalist and she thinks the world has only been around for 4,000 years or so” (or maybe a bit more?)
That was too funny!
Thanks for that post.
I believe this is a reference to 17th-century Archbishop James Ussher (sometimes Usher) of the Anglican Church, who supposedly added up the geneologies in the Bible and came to the conclusion that Earth was created in 4004 BC (specifically, 21 September (new style)).
Of course, that would be about 6,000 years ago.
This is of course silly (I believe he actually came up with a time of day at one point!), but it has been a favorite target for “progressive” scientists for many years (I recall a geology class from 40 years ago where it was “emphasized”).
yes I remember hearing that too
Yes I am aware of where the 6,000 year number came from. I was wondering where the comment tha Palin believes it. What makes this Matt guy say what he said?
I think it is part of what I have been calling the “catechism of the left”. That is, they have a “playbook” of arguments they trot out to startle us and put us on the defensive. I work at a liberal university (boy, talk about an oxymoron), and I have heard this Ussher thing many times.
Here is another example, When I tell them I support the war in Iraq, I can be certain the first thing they respond with will be “And, would you feel the same way if your son were killed there?” (my son has fought there).
It is almost to the point of being a joke. When I sense this coming, I start my stopwatch (to their astonished puzzlement). I later tell them I have an informal competition to see who can first come up with that response (The record so far is 9 seconds, but I am still trying to better it).

According to Hot Air, there was a viral email going around, purporting to be full of facts about Governor Palin. There were several people who apparently thought these 'facts' had been vetted, and proven correct, including at least one columnist, who used the email as a source for their opinions - to their eventual confusion and embarrassment.
It would appear Matt Damon got that email.
Just curious here... has Damon ever taken an IQ test? If so, can we find out his score? I’m guessing, 85 to 90.
Oh, he said a "bad" Disney movie. I'm sure Igor will forgive that!
Can you imagine what these idiot loonies would do if God fearing, gun toting, fearless, honest, determined George Washington were running today. For that matter, candidacy of any of the founders would give these cruds severe conniptions.
Thanks for that link. It explaines everything.
You are most welcome.
