You know, the sappiest men I know are also the ones who everybody thinks are the old, sourpuss, grouches. Hubby and I shed a tear or two as well. :-)
I agree. I’m sixty five and a bit jaded but this lady makes me want to sing “I Could Have Danced All Night.” Simply sublime. Those photos after her speech reminded me of a supremely self-confident Grizzly protecting her cubs. Or how about a photo of her with a “Don’t Tread On Me” flag as a backdrop.
I couldn’t get in here last night.
Must have been a few more people here than usual. ;o)
The speech last night definitely brought tears to my eyes.
But, the thing that surprised me most is that my big, tough guy husband was choked up, too.
Tonight wasn’t quite the same, but that’s the best speech I’ve ever seen McCain give.
I’ve never heard him talk so much about Viet Nam, and how it effected him.
Too, I’ve never seen him speak with so much genuine humility, and energy.
It seems to me that we aren’t the only ones that Sarah energizes. ;o)
