Part 2, Conspiracy Sunday: Could They Have Killed Kennedy In The Age Of Internet Technology?

After the verdict in the O.J. Simpson trial came in, Americans heard a new phrase. The term "jury nullification" explained how a jury comprised mostly of African-Americans could let a black man go free, even though there was overwhelming evidence pointing to his guilt. Imagine if there was a videotape of Simpson brutally slaying his wife Nicole and Ron Goldman. Many believe, even with such evidence, the jury still would have found the former football star innocent of the murders.

The same can be said about the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Even though there was a film of Kennedy taking the killing shot...

One more time: the OJ case was a celebrity prosecution, a mess, a circus and the state failed to prove guilt. He may very well have done it, but that's not what the jury had to decide. Not "jury nullification," reasonable doubt.

There’s a principle in science known as Occam’s Razor. It states that all things being equal, the simplest solution is usually the best solution (the original statement was in Latin, but this will do).

My favorite Kennedy assassination conspiracy comes from Robert Anton Wilson’s books “The Illuminatus Trilogy.”

The simplest solution is that a disgruntled Communist who was also a marksman got off three good shots from a solid vantage point above his target, a well-known Communist hater.

I’ve had similar good luck with caribou from the same distance and vantage point with my 30-06.

Of course, conspiracies are a lot of fun to think about. Many movies and television series have been made constructing all sorts of conspiracies, many of which were great fun to watch. People like to imagine there are great forces arrayed against them, whether it’s demons, the gods, the Bilderburgers, the CIA, the oil companies, or whatever.

In the real world, though, people - and especially those who like to organize politically and philosophically - love to talk and write about their dreams and ideas. Lenin, Hitler, the Frankfurt School, Mao, Pol Pot, Antonio Gramscii, and many others who liked to operate with counterinsurgencies and espionage boldly wrote about their plans and ideas. If there was a group out to kill Kennedy, I’d expect they would simply state it - like Castro did - or they’d have a monthly magazine.

Otherwise, if the assassination happened today, there would be so much proof that Oswald was the guy who pulled the trigger that all of this conspiracy stuff would be stillborn, not to mention that fact that Dan Rather’s mythical classroom cheering for Kennedy’s death would also be outed as a fraud.

In the OJ case, there was a total absence of evidence pointing to anyone OTHER than OJ. Of course, it wasn’t jury nullification, it was bigorty.

Maybe we should start searching for some clues!

>his target, a well-known Communist hater.

How quaint. A presidential candidate who hated Communists. A candidate like that wouldn’t make it past the old guard media to even win one primary today. The many Dan Rathers of the media would operate from the grassy knoll of cable and network news.

In answer to the subject question. IMO, yes.

If they can tell you your not seeing what you see in the Zapruder film, they could do the same with any recording or picture. There were numerous other films confiscated 11/22/63, and never used in evidence. There was a video shot of JFK from behind him in the motorcade. The family who took it has it sealed and locked away from the public.

There is a video, and audio recording of Bill Clinton explaining why he didn't go after OBL that Newsmax submitted to the 9/11 commission, and they minimized it's impact so few saw it.

There was a movie produced called ‘The Path To 9/11’, we were told it was inaccurate and that we shouldn't watch it, and the DVD sales not allowed.

Many ppl believe what they're told despite what they see.

Research the recent Bhutto assassination, is a prime example.

JFK was a strong anti-communist who cut taxes. There is no chance he would ever be nominated by today’s lunatic-left dominated Democratic party. He would probably feel more at home in the GOP.

I've always felt that OJ was both guilty and framed.

Since as a caller to a late night am radio show once “proved” Kennedy actually shot himself, he had it all worked out but alas I cannot recall the details, I’m sure the internet wouldn’t have stopped him.

God I love late night am radio...............

I didn’t read the article, do they mean the same way the internet stopped the 9-11 conspiracy? Which was indeed, a conspiracy.

Ah. The theory that all the theories are true and working for the unified field theory.

I like it.

No joke : The local community college up here offered a course in Kennedy assassination conspiracy theories and had more than one section a few years ago.
