Barack Obama censors free speech in Richmond.
Presidential wannabe Barack Obama was in Richmond last night for a fundraiser. According to the Richmond Time-Dispatch about 500 people gathered last night at the Plant Zero Art Center to hear Obama preach his socialist agenda.
But all was not as it seemed. Or not at least as it really was when the gallery isnt being used for campaign purposes.
According to the RTD, the artist Jamie D. Boling had to remove one painting and cover up another that were deemed inappropriate for photo ops with Obama.
Boling replaced a painting of a scene from the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High in which a t-shirt bore the phrase Kill Lincoln. He covered up an oil rendition of Britney Spears getting out of her limosine. Yes, you remember that picture.
Oh, the hypocrisy of liberals. Is it art or is it not? Are we enlightened or are we not? Either the art is appropriate for public display or it is not.
You wont hear much about this in the Main Stream Media. After all, Obama is a Democrat(ick).
Yet somehow this is acceptable, its reasonable, while former Attorney General John Ashcroft was skewered in the press when his Justice Department covered partially nude statues.
Oh, thats right. Ashcroft is a Republican.
shameless plug
Who really wants to see Britney stepping out of the limo? The photo was sent to me the next day. It didnt look all that good - I would have turned her down.
Good one. But I still prefer Rats as the name for the former traditional, patriotic Democratic Party.
Garbage.
Who let him into Virginia in the fist place?
King Kaine, of course. Kaine was one of the first to endorse Obama.
It was a bit of a rhetorical question :)
As an aside, I just read where the eyebrow attended the same function as I did last Wednesday.........I’d like to know who let him on the Eastern shore, let alone across the causeway onto Chincoteague. Fortunately there were over 3,000 people in attendance and thus I missed even noticing he was there :)
A good thing you didn’t know he was there. Otherwise it would’ve ruined your day. Altho, you might have been able to ask a few pointed questions.....
My husband would probably agree with you that it was good I didn’t know he was there. There are times when he doesn’t trust me to keep my mouth shut, and he is justified in that.
Not that it would have made any difference, I was too busy filling my mouth with steamed clams and raw oysters by the dozens!
Lucky you! Sounds like fun.
I would make a trip across the bay-bridge tunnel for good food like that.
Then of course there is the annual Oyster Festival in October!!!
~sigh~
I know that event, but it’s been years (decades actually) since I’ve been over there for it.
You should come next year for the 40th!!! I’m planning on buying my tickets the day they go on sale.
I just might have to do that.
Cool!!!!
