I have voted for Senator John Warner four out of five times he has run for office. The exception was my junior year in college. Being out of state and dealing with the fact that my father had recently passed away, I didnt file an absentee ballot for Warners first race in 1978.
My last vote for John Warner was cast in 2002. Quite frankly I dont care who the Democratick party puts up on 2008. If John Warner is the Republican nominee, Im not voting for him.

Personal abuse of ping list spammage.
I don't need to read more. I completely understand.
And please don't tell us you're supporting Eric Cantor as Hoppin' John's replacement: Cantor's interview the other day on Hugh Hewitt's show came across as cowardly and disgraceful, very much in the "Warner mode."
Amen, Corin. Frankly, if the Dems run Mark Warner against the old coot, well...
The American Spectator was rootin' for Tony Snow to run. The time to declare is now. That way anyone who is thinking of retiring will get a proper push. Dan Coats did that in Indiana when Evan Bayh left the Governors office.
Do you have a link to the American Spectator article?
The way to get rid of him is in a primary. Maybe it's time for Ollie North to make a comeback. Tony Snow would be great. Someone, anyone, would be better than Warner. Please do it in the primary, I'd hate to hand another seat to the Dems.
Me too, I'm done with Warner(s). RUN TONY RUN.
Dittos! Time to retire, Jawn.
>The American Spectator was rootin' for Tony Snow to run.<
That would be great.
What took you so long?
What did Cantor say?
> What did Cantor say? <
Mostly he evaded the hard questions about Iraq.
And the worst part of his performance was when Hewitt asked him about the wisdom of "benchmarks" in the various House and Senate resolutions critical of the President's war effort. Cantor pretended not to understand the question and then launched in to a discussion of budgetary "earmarks." It was a transparently disingenuous and totally disgusting performance. I wouldn't trust the guy to walk my dog around the block.
I didn't hear that. But it seems a bit out of charater for Cantor. He's usually better than that.
Despite being no longer in his district I much admire the man.
> Despite being no longer in his district I much admire [Cantor] <
I've never been in his district, but I used to think quite highly of him. No longer.
And if Eric should run for Warner's seat, I'll give him exactly the same support that Stormhands says he'll give ole Hoppin' John.
Well, all you've done here is make very vague accusations against Eric Cantor. Post something concrete or get lost.
I have to agree with jla. You've made some vague accusations against Cantor. And, since we know him and I ~do~ live in his district, I'm not buyin' without more proof.
What you seem to suggest would greatly surprise me.
Sen Warner now has signed up with the Globle warming crowd.
